Clifford Manua has been released by the Broncos because he's homesick for Sydney and wants to be closer to his family. He had talks with Ricky last week about returning to the Sharks, but the Bulldogs are also interested after losing Willie.

fringe at best atm, played a few games off the bench, good for depth and depending on injury may get a few showings. has shown a lil bit of potential every now and again but hes yet to really step up

i can take it or leave it, if we sign him, cool we have more depth and if he gets a game that means someone worse than him would have had that spot otherwise, if we dont sign him again then i think well probably survive

my theory is hes a premiership chaser, he races over to the broncos and then when they fail to show hes looking for the next big thing and he knows its cronulla!

i think it would be good for him to come back, especially since he expressed that we should sign him back. loyalty even though he originally left should be rewarded, he realised the mistake of leaving.

He would be a good depth signing. Plus he might step up his game at Cronulla under Ricky. The fact he is homesick was probably having an impact on his game, but that wont be an issue if he plays for us.

big wraps and showed some potential.
never got close to living up to the hype for me, always seemed too slow and lacking overall fitness.

he is massive though.

depends what he's asking for as to whether we should worry about taking him back. he will only be a back up for the next couple of seasons unless he really steps up.
having said that, Ricky has been known to work wonders with players attitudes and training ethic.

Did enough to play a bit off the bench for the Broncos last year, and their pack was one part of the team fairly unaffected by injury, so it wasn't a case of last man standing. For the last 20 years the Broncos have been the yard stick for success in the game, if its good for them I can't see it being bad for us.

No guarantee he'll get a FG gig, but I don't think any of our squad has that luxury, so add to the depth I say.

We have depth in the back row, but front row, we are a little light, if it is for nothing, why nt.
