Interesting read. IMO it shows 3 related issues about our team.
1. We lack the talented individuals to convert pressure into points. We seem to need extra chances to score and don't have the same go to plays that other sides have eg St George's left side with Boyd, Cooper and Morris.
2. We have a tendency to not deliver when it really counts. We can have teams on the rack and then lose concetration, let in a soft try and we are struggling. The Manly game this year is case in point. We dominated them and should have won by 20 but found a way to lose.
3. We are a team with fragile self belief. We rarely win when coming from behind. Some quotes attributed to our coach this week saying "We need the bounce of the ball, a touch of luck, the referees came back to us and believed Nathan Stapleton had scored against Newcastle, that would have been massive for our confidence and let us lead at half-time, but it wasn't to be. If we have no bad luck we should be OK." Todays Telegraph. The good sides find ways to overcome and we aren't there yet.
The good news is that there some strong fundamentals about the team that can be built on.
