I'm just sitting here thinking about what Kurt supposedly brings to the Nsw & Australian sides.
He is obviously picked for his Utility values and his ability to cover the halfs, hooker, fullback and where ever need be.
Quite handy I guess in terms of versatility and a talent. Not a bad choice if it chosen on that.
Some people can fall victim to that in terms of not having a stuck position and being shuffled about but which is his best position?

He's played centre for Australia too.

Hooker would be his best position IMO but he never plays there. Great, scything runner through the ruck and a dogged tackler.

He's fallen victim to being overrated by commentators and not pulling off the highlight reel plays that other 'marquee' players produce. A bit like Gal actually.

Gidley's a gun.

Yeah hooker it is but it looks like Farrah can play 80 and play it good.

Sad to say but I just don't think he will be needed for nsw next year.

For the knights I would start him at hooker and punt buderus to the retirement home.

Got to agree. I've never seen a player over play his hand more than Gidley. He is good at club level but gee he can stink the field up at rep level. Up there with Anasta in the overrated stakes.
