Sounds like a bunch of our guys will be playing in the Koori Knockout this weekend. I've heard Nicho, Tricky and Kennedy will play. Jesse pending fitness.

Interesting to see which teams.

Ramien and Tricky are Wiradjuri Aboriginal Rivers, there was a post yesterday suggesting Kennedy may join them.

Will be good for Nicho to get back to some old school footy! Although last year I think he was named, but never stepped on the field?

Thought Nicho could do with a really good rest. Hoping if he does play doesn’t get injured.

Yeah not sure which teams. Sounds like a full NRL contingent heading there though so should be some fun games to watch.

Agree. He's someone who values his culture so there could be nothing better than getting out there for the weekend. It would be a fun way to finish the year before he puts the boots away for a few weeks.

I agree but if he’s still not 100% which he doesn’t look like he’s close to, playing more rugby league isn’t the smartest thing.

They are only short games, and he may not play them all. I get what you're saying though. I don't think we'd let him play if it wasn't deemed acceptable by the medical team.

Yeah fair call. Well hopefully all our players who are part of it enjoy the week up there. Think it’s a great thing they do.

Think what @SF said is spot on. Hopefully this gets him enjoying his footy again.

From the outside I agree I think he probably shouldn't play

Certainly people better positioned than me to make that call though so I'll trust if he does club is happy for it

Yeah also worth noting that they don't announce the teams till the event pretty well kicks off. Nothing in stone at this point and it's just a rumour.

Yep pretty sure there's been NRL players named all the way up to it then they never set foot on pitch before

I remember last year there were stories saying Fitzy was 100% in favour of the players participating in this. Nicho had a couple of months off, so should be relatively fresh compared to previous seasons.

Would be funny if he played Trindall in the final
