Hannay didn't miss him in his comments either. Admitted to not even speaking to him since all this happened.

In my opinion that’s pretty poor action/inaction from the coach and leader.
You don’t air your grievances publicly without at least telling the bloke what’s going on.

Dugan’s his own worst enemy but, I’d be pissed at the club based on Hannay not bothering to pick up the phone and tell me I’m officially done (if that’s the case)

You don't think the player should reach out to apologise? A highly paid and senior player at that?

He might not be playing FG atm, possibly due to form, even attitude or lack of???

The fact is, he’s contracted to play football & paid very well for it, we are effectively down a player or option should one of our back five get injured, he’s let down his team mates, mates, the club & fans, he’s more than likely ost himself not only the 25k fine but a possible contract elsewhere, or atleast, made the next contract for himself cheaper

I believe effort at training was identified by hannay as main reason he was dropped
Not sure if that began around time of breakup, or what other factors may have caused it (knee, Morris, club not making him offer etc)

to his employer ? We might need him (doubt we will) and it’s bad coverage for the club.

He does get paid by the Sharks

if the pollies withdraw bubble approval because of his breach then every player would be after his nuts.

Should be more worried about the bulldog 5 players. Not playing due to COVID breaches
Didn’t help their team mates losing 66-0

Not going with the team into the QLD bubble.

Also his current punishment is only from the NRL he is yet to be punished by the club. Perhaps waiting to see him in person to do that. Maybe just another fine? Don’t know if they have enough on him to sack him

Don’t think they’ll pile on another punishment

Just going off what Buzz wrote a few days ago

“Josh Dugan hasn’t heard the last of his Covid dramas. Dugan has appealed his $25,000 fine from the NRL but the Sharks are conducting their own internal review and are likely to take further action.”

Buzz, sooooo….. grain of salt.

It’s not like they are best of mates, so Buzz will be saying anything to sink the boot in.
If Dugan cops anymore punishment it will probably be more that he hasn’t tried to reconnect with the club (based on what JH has been saying).

save money and sack him. He's not gonna play again. Piss him off.

How do you save money by sacking him with a few months left on his contract?
If you sack him, you have to pay him out. If you don’t, he sues us! Can’t see a saving there??

if he has breached his contract, which is likely then we owe him nothing.
