Arona replacement. Decent player who will be good enough to fill in when required. Don't overly rate him and don't think he is good enough to be in the top 17

Yeah, wrong one of the Pauli/Paulo tribe.

Almost certainly the best bloke of that bunch though. A good human.

Backrow depth. Has the skills to ballplay like Lewis and Wade do if one goes down.

The Cronulla Sharks have secured the services of ex-Parramatta Eel Joseph Paulo on a two-year-deal.
Released from the final year of his contract at the Eels, the 27-year-old will link with the Sharks for the 2016 and 2017 NRL seasons.

Head Coach Shane Flanagan said the Paulo signing is one that would bolster the Sharks forward stocks heading into the new campaign.
“Joseph is a skilful player, and he will be a welcome addition to our squad,” Flanagan said.
“We’re putting together a strong roster ahead of 2016, and Paulo will only add to what we’re looking to build at the Club for next season and beyond.”
Paulo debuted with the Panthers – against the Sharks at Remondis Stadium – in 2008, before joining the Eels midway through 2011.
Having played 6 Tests for Samoa (2008-10) and 4 Tests for the USA at the 2013 Rugby League World Cup, the highly skillful ball-playing backrower will add depth to the squad and be an ideal replacement for the UK bound Anthony Tupou.

Auckland-born back-rower brings an added wealth of experience to the Cronulla squad.

Paulo will join his Sharks teammates as they return to pre-season training on November 9.

Decent signing. Not overjoyed but he has been good for parramatta.

LOL Mate honestly Joe Paulo is absolute garbage, just pop over to one eyed eel and check out the response of him leaving, the sites in raptures, he has NEVER been good for parra, in fact he has been the player that people wanted gone most, just check the celebrations going on on the eels sites, i have absolutely no idea why you guys have signed him, hes a nice bloke but a very poor footy player, very soft, very poor skills, he just gets in the way out there.

Theres not a week since hes been at the eels that people havnt called for his sacking, so before you guys get excited you might want to do some research because there is nothing positive youll find on Paulo from eels fans.

Im not here to stir things up, but when i read this thread i had to come in and put some reality in it, id say he would be up there with your worst signings ever, no idea what your coach sees in him apart from a backup when you are desperate.

Hes also an diehard hillsonger, let me tell you these guys are like poison at a club, its been a huge problem inside our club for a long time, im SO happy hes gone its like xmas day.

Cheers and good luck lads.

He will be depth on smallish coin. I don't see the issue.

Also, we have a history of turning forwards around, especially ones from **** clubs.
