IIRC the right side centre from the Broncos NYC? Could be wrong.

Opacic was the one with the wraps I think.

Are we signing more young guys this year or is it just being publicised in a better way?

Has anyone watched this guy play?

nrl.com stats have him at 106 meters and 11 tackles (1.2 missed) & 0.5 errors per game in NYC. So that really doesn't give much away apart from the high try rate. Says he made NYC team of the year as well. Sounds like the kid can play.

Yeah I've seen him a couple of times but never really watched him closely. Good pedigree with a Junior Kangas game and making the NYC TOTY. Looks to be physically developed and has been training with the Broncos firsts for a while so probably not far off NRL.

Seems like the sort of guy who could push our starting centres and might just make the big jump.

Bit concerning that the Broncos have let him go at the point where they have to replace Hodges but we've been the beneficiaries of Clubs getting that sort of call wrong in the past.

Pleased with a signing like this. Better than signing another Ayshford or Mitch Brown.

What are your thoughts on the signing mate? Is being a jr Kangaroo a good indication of future stardom?

I wonder if this could this effect Bird's speculated demands to play full back....

Good pick up Sharks. These are the signings we need to see more off, not Mitch Brown or fricken Ashyford. Players with plenty of potential, little downside.

I don't know him from a bar of soap myself but the fact he's 20 played Junior Kangaroos, Under 18s QLD, played one first grade game and made the 2015 NYC team of the year and been in the Broncos system says alot for mine. You don't fluke your way into those things imo.

You can't read into not making the Broncos team what so ever, that's stupid, yeah they have Hodges leaving but they have Maranta, Copley, that fullback from the NYC team. Vidot even ? That's all for one spot. Plus they have Arrow and a few other players they need to focus second tier cap money on.

Sharks have probably come in with decent money, a good chance to make first grade and Bennett has let him go. Bennett let Taylor go to the Titans because he was behind Hunt and Milford despite being a pretty clear talent but didn't want to block his progress.

Whether he makes grade who knows, but more than happy to wait and find out. I'd say he's more NRL ready that Curtis Scott is that's for sure. A bad game from Leutele or Beale and you never know !!!

Good work Sharks ! Welcome aboard Jordan !

Further to the above, the Junior Kangaroos backline was the following

1 Jackson HASTINGS (Sydney Roosters)
2 Brenko LEE (Canberra Raiders)
3 Robert JENNINGS (Penrith Panthers)
4 Jordan DREW (Brisbane Broncos)
5 Valentine HOLMES (Cronulla Sharks)

In saying that Drew came in for an injured Aitken so he wasn't first choice....Still pretty good company there.

Yep, when he was playing for us I said he'd be the next ET

I meant with the Broncos. He was also there when Griffin was coach, they spent millions on Barba also remember. haha

I think most people were hoping/thinking he'd be the next big thing with us.
