As i was pointing to, Mal has this year. With his conspiracy theory bull****. Your 5 wins is a great come back for you isn't it, how many times have you used that? ;)

ha. Short memories, when we won 3 straight, all i remember hearing was queenslanders sooking that origin was dead in the water. They were over it. After 5 straight years of losing, i have not once watched a game.

The hayne head butt.. no point going over it though.
And for the record, he should get suspended.
Thats why origin needs its own judicary, so you dont miss rep games from club footy

I believe the rules in the NRL state it is the players responsibility to avoid contact with a referee

I always felt that referees became referees because they couldnt make it as players...... know I know why they couldn't make it as players... they are soft!

played all my league in the Uk and saw lots of refs get accidentally trampled... they just got up and got on with it!

also I think of the rule that if a ball carrier runs into the ref (which I have also seen applied several times) then it is a scrum with feed to the attacking team....

Surely Thurston will get off and be able to play. I just can't see him getting ruled out. Especially since it mainly comes down to his intent, which is pretty subjective.

I am a little mixed on it, it's a hard situation and there wasn't much he could do, but from the replays it does seem like he made a split second decision to disregard the refs presence and keep trying to get the player (i.e. by going through the ref).

I'd be comfortable with either decision the judiciary makes tbh.

I have a mate who became a ref, not because he didn't have heart but because he was small and was sick of being smashed all the time, and when I say smashed I mean SMASHED, plus the team folded and he didn't want to play for any other club.
