Dillon is much better defensively, but Dillon is very average with the ball, straight up and down, Malakai Houma is better than both Dillon and Senne lafao with the ball, but doesn't have the motor of the other two, and tends to get wider and wider in the line when under fatigue.

He played real well. He was strong, aggressive and energetic. Could easily get a bench spot over Taga.

I am going to have to rewatch the game as while I thought he did ok, he did not stand out for me....but what did stand out is he gets those syco killer eyes when he is pumped...sort of like a dog with rabies

Look i go to most Newtown games and talk to several -players as well as coaching staff, and they will all tell you how good defensively Shirnak and Dillon are in that jets side and how weak they are in the middle when they don't play. As ive stated Dillon is very average with the ball, but one player who played first grade against penrith yesterday ( who i won't name but is not a new kid on the block) , who i was talking to earlier in the year at belmore, told me he hasn't played with or against anyone who tackles better than Dillon. So snowman, i know what im watching, and going by fellow players and staff i dont think im far off the mark with player assessments, especially when it comes to Newtown players or sharks fringe first graders.

Nice to know that he's there if we need him. He had some good runs and made some nice tackles when we were under pressure.

Both JSL and Capewell did not miss a beat and a made a pretty fair fist of their first grade Sharkies debut. Both these fellas would go well off the bench and both have a lot to offer.

Can only get better with more Ist grade experience JSL does have a touch of the Harmen about him. This was a great game to win and it really gave me a lot of joy to see this team stick it up Penrith.

I thought all of our replacements from Holden Cup Killed it including Nu Brown and the Gymea Brown .

Top effort a BIG CONGRATS

As i said speaking to people who would know(Newtown coach Greg Matterson, and players including roquica, capewell, mciillwrick and mitch brown) who are easily accessible for a chat after newtown games, i think they would have more of an idea about player capabilities, than you snowman. Im not saying Dillon will play first grade or even has the attacking the capability to do so, all im saying is ive seen enough of sene lafoa to know he is extremely lucky to be playing first grade, because D fifita, M houma, K dillon, and L capewell have all been playing better than him at Newtown. And this comes not just from me but Newtowns staff as well.

Actually the players and staff give some good feedback, and seem to be pretty up front with player strengths and weaknesses. Full credit to Newtown staff and the players's who give up there time before and after games to speak with sponsors and fans.

From what I've heard from someone who goes to all the home games and a few sydney games is that jsl started the year poorly but has been very good in the middle part of the year.

Ok for a stop gap.
Super average signing.

He's a Taga without the impact but can hold a ball. (For now)
