Pretty obvious that he was 18th man and the Jets played before firsts so didn't play either grade. Will probably play reggies this week.

Never seen a player not get named in either side 2 weeks running though, not even on an extended bench which flanno normally loves.

Paul Reiffel 12th man for Australia in both games when they played Australia A in the ODI finals back in the 90's...

Would've been a great chance to see him play against his old club.

That would have been good to see. So what has he done, did he give Flanno the ****es

No he hasn't mate, they just need him to get up to speed on a few things. He's working hard and hopefully we'll see him on the park soon. Unfortunately he won't get to play against his old club.

but it still does not explain why he is not playing reggies....nothing like match fitness or is there a nagging injury

Mate, he doesn't need to explain further - that's the situation. I'm sure it's not going to be permanent - wouldn't surprise me to see him getting a run in NSW Cup this weekend. But I think firsts are still a fair way off for JSL.

all good but this guy has played first grade before has he not and if he is fit I just cannot understand why he being wrapped in cotton wool ......not criticising flanno for not giving us the answer at all. I just don't understand the logic

I'm sure a lot of us don't understand the logic mate. But we're not at training every day. We don't see what's going on behind closed doors. We'll just have to see how it plays out.

Like capewell he was solid today. Could tell when he came on as he was heavily involved and made some very solid hit ups. Wouldn't mind seeing him get a bench spot to add that bigger body to the side

Nice to know that he's there if we need him. He had some good runs and made some nice tackles when we were under pressure.

I thought he was average really.

Didn't see him threaten or bend the line at all.

Disagree. Had some good runs and quick play the balls. Busted the line a couple of times.

Good performance which will stop some of the other forwards getting complacent knowing their spot can be taken

I thought he was good and I actually thought he seemed more mobile than what he was at Manly. Maybe that's what he has been working on since he arrived.

Considering the reports of how ordinary he's been for Newtown, it's a very pleasant surprised to see him tear up tonight. He threw the gauntlet down for Taga. Balls in Taga's court now, better step up Taga, JSL's coming for your spot.

Dont get too carried away, penrith are very ordinary in the forwards, they move up and hit about as hard as st george, has been going very ordinary for the jets, and if he wasn't on contract he wouldn't be getting a go at all in the top grade, capewell a different story, he has ability and some skill and vision to his game that he has shown for the jets most of the year.
