What?

He played 17 games for Newcastle, 19/21 in 2020 for us, and then 17 again last year.

Now he is playing well in what is effectively a contract year as he can negotiate at end of season. Better time than never to start getting good value I guess.
Played half a year for the knights, then there was a late start to the season the following year IIRC. Making it almost a year inbetween games

It was 232 days, so not really almost a year.
That included a full pre season also with a club he had played at just 2 seasons ago.
His last game was round 19 so he missed like 6 weeks more footy than someone who played for a bottom 8 team.
Even played NRL All Stars in 2020 so actually only 212 days between stopping for Knights and next 'game'.

Had 176 days between his 2018 season ending and 2019 starting and 190 days between end of last season and start of this season.

I'm not feeling it as a big deal.

232 days? That’s a fancy way of saying almost a year. Take into consideration the drama surrounding the Newy exit, the lack of football in comparison to other years and Covid, no stability at the sharks with the team/coaching staff. He was never going to hit the ground running

Almost 600 days for McInnes and year before was the shorter covid year too
And it was like 2/3 of a year which is not almost a year
No excuse for Jesse to take until now because he left Newcastle 6 weeks early

How you get so caught up on specifics but then feel comfortable comparing Jesse and Cam? A young guy with hampered development for numerous reasons you chose to ignore, to a club captain who’s name is synonymous throughout the league for his crazy/second to none work ethic. I give your comment a 4/7… that’s almost a full score

I originally thought it was pretty similar to the Dragons tackle however when I watch it again Ramiens contact was more with his arm at the neck / head region and the Dragons was shoulder.

Looks a different player with room to move. Still needs working on when to pass and not to pass,,l there are still times when he should be getting it off to katoa but holds onto the ball and runs himself, does well to draw the defenders into him

good to see. he wanted that win last night
One big change we are seeing is the discipline. We do not care about the ref decisions, we do not worry about the other team, just put our heads down and try to play footy. Ronnie's behaviour after the high tackle was an example of that and it looks like Ramien is getting better in keeping a cool head too.

This will benefit us tremedously in the long run. I live the system Fitzy is implementing and I did not think we would see the results this quickly. Great signs.

Jesse seems to love playing his old club the knights, gives it everything. Ran hard as and made good decisions with the ball and obviously in defense too cause he made 14 tackles for no misses. That's impressive in the centres

popped some good offloads as well when tacklers couldn't bring him down

Very strong game, was tough to handle

I think he has played pretty good all season, a boneheaded move or two aside.

I never thought him and SJ were a very compatible pairing, SJ used him as a crash ball too often and Noodles likes a wind up.

Yeah the early ball he is getting with space has shown how dangerous he can be

Still needs to work on his technique of when and when not to give the ball, he has missed a few changes to get the ball to katoa with open space and has giving it to katoa when there is no room

Brilliant game, no one complaining about his signing this week

has bounced back very well from that first rnd penalty he gave away

gave headaches to tigers all game both sides of the ruck

some of the best ball playing we have seen from him. case to be made he passes to katoa on the wing but dont think it was clear cut as last time and he made sure of it busting through and getting a solid put down
