Not denying the bunker has a lack of feel for the game, but Uncle Graham is happy to back them in most of the time.

As for interpretation of the rules, IMO the disrupter rule is garbage, no matter how its interpreted.
That’s cos Uncle Graham doesn’t want to publicly criticise his team (and fair enough), but if he isn’t saying ”WHAT THE ACTUAL ****” behind closed doors, then there is half the problem

I understand everyone's frustration with the ref, rules and bunker but for every decision made that people get the dirts with there is an equal number of people who think the decision was right.
I don't think that's the case on this rule. I think all sets of fans are thinking it's ridiculous. Everyone is also more confused by it than anything else.

Look at the two in our game, everyone can agree Ronaldos was worse than Jesse's, but Ronnie's wasn't called.

It's a dumb rule implemented by leadership that puts the refs in an impossible situation to rule on the intent to catch. It is more of a lottery than anything else in the game at the moment, and I'm still at a loss for why they brought it in in the first place.

I wasn't talking about the disrupter rule in my post mate, I was talking about all decisions and rules.

What I meant was invariably, you will most of the time find that one set of fans will approve a decision made in the game while the opposition fans will think it was a bum decision. And vice versa. It is the tribal way. Bit like politics I suppose, someone must be wrong but who?

This whole disruptor rule is a waste of time.

Who cares if you baulk a catcher? As long as you don't prevent them from attempting to catch the ball (ie by touching them or obstructing etc) then play on.

The NRL are making new interpretations for the sake of it.

Fair enough, I was just responding as the conversation happening was around the Ramien decision. I think you're correct in almost every other type of decision. I think this rule has unified a lot of fans in thinking it's ridiculous even when it goes their way.

You’re never gunna get rid of 50/50 circumstances and despite the spur of the moment complaints most people let those go pretty quick.

The bigger issue is
- inconsistent and unclear interpretations (like this disrupter crap)
- waves of 50/50 calls going one way or seemingly inconsistent within a game*
- rate of awful calls (you’ll always have some just like you have complete howlers by players) but the bunker rate of these needs to be super super low. The extension of this is inconstancy by MRC.

*tricky also because based on my very very loose ptb speed analysis the calls on the titans may have been justified

These are my biggest gripes. As fans, it should be clear what is/isn't regarded as foul play. 50/50s can still occur within this. The bunker has also just been making too many ridiculous decisions. There shouldn't be howlers coming from in there.

Sit another person in there if that's what it takes. Bunker howler should be borderline non-existent

Yeah somethings gotta change. If you cant get rid of the howlers with the bunker, get rid of the bunker. It's much easier to cop a mistake from the referee. I don't think the genie goes back in the bottle though.

I've said before if you removed the bunker/video reviews the pressure from fans and media every time the bunker could have fixed an outcome would be a nightmare. Don't think you can undo it.
Don't have to undo it - just do it better.

Been phenomenal so far this year. Shut down the likes of RTS, Wighton and now Val with such little fuss. I'd hear an argument for him being the best defensive centre in the comp at the moment. If he was a little more consistent in attack he'd be a rep centre.
Very good game. Had some great moments in defence tonight.
