Different people, different circumstances and perhaps even different surgeries but Tom Gilbert has returned to full contact training 8 months after his acl injury
And expected for round 1
Yeh but that's different

Different sport, but Sam Docherty (AFL) made a 6 month return to play from an ACL injury.

2 breaks, then an ACL in 2 years?

I wouldn't be counting on a future with this kid unfortunately.

It’s sad because he’s so damn good but I’m starting to lean this way unfortunately. Just hasn’t proven he can stay fit. Hoping for a massive turn around for him though.

Tracey had acl injuries in like 2015, 2016 and 2017

Multiple injuries for sure a concern but far from uncommon in the NRL

fingers crossed he’s got it out of the way now
Yeah he came to my mind as well, I still have full confidence in JC.

Yeah plenty of players have had bad runs and come out fine.
Im still of the opinion that the majority of players who have multiple serious injuries i.e. ACL will not come out better in the long run. Im shocked that Teddy hasnt been shot by the sniper in his knee since his Wests Tigers days (unless im thinking of Tim Moltzen???)

Tbh it's probably better having ACL issues as a middle I reckon, far more lateral movement required as a back. JC will be fine and be a gun for us.

You must have missed the mention of Tracey, who came out more perfect than a new bron babe

You can still play professional sports without an ACL, just look at Zlatan

Spoke to him @ length on the members launch, seeing how his recovery was going post ACL.
Asked him if he was still aiming for round 1 like he told me the day post surgery - said hes on track for it and its still his aim.
But like others have said, id like a couple of hit outs with Jets first, especially as he wont be fit for trials.
