Look I said I wouldn't choose it for my pizza - I just don't personally value it's contribution highly
However it does make a contribution even if you don't like it, sometimes that contribution can be pretty sweet and allow the other flavours to shine.
I also must admitt as much as I have my preference the chef also knows the quality of ingredients better than me so have to trust him to some degree. The restaurant wouldn't have upset the old chefs mum for nothing - right?

Shame the customers have been getting food poisoning from the pineapple pizza the last 20 plus rounds.

Something is rotten and it's not just the pineapple that stinks.
Plus the crust doesn't hold firm.
But sure concentrate on the pineapple just because you don't like it and it's a bit smirky fruity
Oh don't get me started on the crust, under cooked and sloppy.

But hey let's atleast start trying to fix the pizza, even if means removing the pineapple first.

I once asked for a ham and pineapple pizza at the Toup Kitchen.

Didn't go down very well, can't say where the big Lithuanian dude on the counter that night shoved it.

those that think pineapple belongs on pizza

and those that are wrong
I feel like we could bond over this pizza.

I might actually need to know your thoughts on anchovies first...

I'll meet you over meatlovers. BBQ base, of course.
Anchovies are the SJ of toppings. People thinks they're fantastic but they inevitibly leave a bad taste

The Italians have tuna on pizza as a fairly common ingredient. I don't care if they invented it, this gives them no right to complain about pineapple.
Chuck some pineapple on and it becomes a sweet and sour tuna pizza
