I think there's a case Jack has to start. We've now had 3 games this year with slow starts that have been pegged back with his impact off the bench (alongside others and shifts in possession).

I don't think we can afford to keep giving up the starts we have, and it would be great to see something like

8. BHU/Hazleton
10. Williams
13. Cam

14. Finucane
15. Rudolf
16. Hazleton/BHU
17. Kaufusi/Hunt/Iro
I don't know about Jack starting. He is playing the best of his career and providing a major spark off the bench. What Fitz is doing with him is clearly working.

His minutes probably won’t change if starting and he’s providing that bench impact when he comes on. Leave him there imo, also why big Tom is good off the bench when w have forwards available

Depends if Fitz thinks that the slow starts are anything to do with the performance of the starting props I guess. Round 1 Hunt throwing the ball away didn’t help, but fixable.

Fitz also likes starting with 2 big bodies. Jack at 13 with Cam from the bench might be an option once they are back to full strength - but unlikely atm with all of the players missing imo. Would be sacrificing the early tip-ons that you get with Dale/Cam in 13 but would be bringing in some strong combos from the bench.

If Jack wants to start (and who knows if he does) I think he's earnt it over Rudolph, Kaufusi and Hunt. That said we need one of him or Hazelton on the bench to make sure we keep that impact.

@Proud Shark going through the game now.

Here is the slow start up until Williams came on. Front rowers were guilty of a couple of six-again calls but the bigger issue was ball control from other players.

Seems like a player who just wants to do what best and win and as mentioned if he still plays the same minutes I’m sure that helps.

I wouldn’t mind him starting but also love his impact he brings

Epic. Some great hits to force errors and once again, an amazingly fast PTB led to a try.
First one was Williams. Second was Wilton. Was involved in the third along with Burns. :)

Start Williams because he's mobile, aggressive and puts in alot of work, need that in the first 20, instead of two big bodies.
Hazelton and Tuku bring impact off the bench, then have Dale back for experience off the bench. Keep Atkinson as utility, who covers backline, lock and dummy half. Hunt, Uele, Rudolf and Calqhoun should get game time at jets first for fitness and conditioning before coming back to top grade.

8 Kaufusi
10 Williams
13 Mcinnis
14 Atkinson
15 Hazelton
16 Finucane

Yeah no doubt there are plenty of other factors contributing to the slow starts. Crazy seeing all the errors in the first 20 laid out like that.

Personally I noticed a significant difference in intent even from Tommy starting. He wanted to be in everything, whether that's good or not is debatable, but I loved how he even still went for Savage to cut down the kick. I don't think we've had enough of that in our starts.
