Never heard of the bloke, but that does give me another reason to boo the dragons on game day.
Just read the entire thread, it tells quite a story! Gets acknowledged as a player with potential, wins a end of year award, quits mysteriously, and then 6 months later signs with the dragons.

He was a good hard working backrower. I have heard the club wanted him to play prop, he wanted to stay in the backrow. Rumor has it Dragons have signed him.

Note to self, remember to look out for Gallen to smash this guy in 2010. I mean what would Gallen think of someone who has chosen to be a c**t?

Jack Bosden into top squad from a Shark to a Dragon

Jack Bosden into top squad from a Shark to a Dragon

JACK Bosden always thought he would push for a first grade spot: he just didn't think it would come with St George Illawarra.

Bosden, a Cronulla Caringbah junior, quit the Sharks in the lead-up to last season with a year still to run on his contract.

It looked as though a NRL start had passed him by before he linked with former

Illawarra Steelers great Paul McGregor, who coached Wests in the Illawarra Carlton League.

"It was good to get back and to enjoy my footy again,'' Bosden said.

"I'd been at Cronulla since I was about 14 or 15. I wasn't really happy at the joint so I left. I got a bit stale.''

McGregor's obvious links with the Dragons prompted a phone call from St George Illawarra assistant coach Steve Price who asked Bosden to join the club.

He has been training with the club since August but is on the mend from shoulder reconstruction surgery.

"Cronulla was good, don't get me wrong, but I'm enjoying this season a bit more,'' Bosden, who still lives in Sutherland Shire, said.

"It's bit more professional and I think I'm a bit older and a bit wiser.''

Bosden was boosted by the fact the Dragons offered him a two-year deal. He is expected to resume full contact training with the side early this year.

"[Wayne Bennett] is good and very easy to talk to,'' Bosden said.

"He wanted to know what happened at Cronulla and what my reasons for leaving were. He is very approachable.

"I'm just looking at getting back on the paddock and getting some footy under my belt. If I'm playing well then I'm a chance of playing first grade.''

Check the thread- Bosdon wasn't let go, he walked out. Sounds like he might be Jeremy Smith's replacement over there though and like we could have used him this year. Pity.

why was this kid let go?

and why didnt KFCuthbo play like that for us?

We didnt let him go. He walked out mid contract saying he didnt want to play footy anymore and was joining the fire brigade. A year later he is back in footy as I predicted, unfortunately not for us. Was rumoured to be unhappy at the sharks as Ricky Stuart wanted to turn him into a front rower, which Jack didnt want.

we should have made sign a release allowing only to return to sharks, similar to what bulldogs did with sbw. big mistake on our part.
