IronShark to Host Southern Community Welfare Movie Night Fundraiser

Hey guys and girls, as I mentioned in my thread about the 2013 signed jersey auction, Southern Community Welfare are a Shire based charity that helps people in need. Everything from counselling to crisis intervention and they rely on donations and grants to carry out their vital work.

In order to raise much needed funds, they are holding a movie night at 6.00pm this Thursday the 22nd August at Event Cinemas, Westfield Miranda. The movie is a comedy called "The Intouchables", it's a very funny and moving film, based on a true story.

I will be the MC for the night and I'd love some support from our local Sharks fans! Tickets are only twenty dollars and includes snacks. There are also plenty of giveaways and prizes on the night, including plenty of Sharks merchandise which was kindly donated by the Club.

Please support this great local charity and buy a ticket by using this link. Alternatively, you can just turn up on the night at 6.00pm, Event Cinema's, Westfield Miranda.

Would love to have some Sharks Forever members there for moral support!

Snowy, here's what you do. Turn up after the movie finishes, give Iron your donation and then get into your tackling practice!

The movie night went off well, we had a pretty good crowd in and were able to raise about 4 grand for Southern Community Welfare. Also, I didn't make a complete idiot of myself as the MC, from most reports!

Would have liked to have seen at least a few Sharks Forever members there, you missed a good night. Oh well, make sure you get to the next one!
