i was just readin tuesdays leader and they have the sharks 30-man squad for next year. in the backs there was no leon bott or toshio laisini??have they left.also included was young back travis robinson who i think severly broke his leg earlier this year, thats good work from him.also not included was mark lennon who i think weve signed from manly. the forwards were good though and it said we were negotioating with gorrel and finn.one of those wil fill spot 30.

i don't mind losing toshio.
he had speed and flair (and hair) but until he can catch a bomb he's useless to us as a fullback or a winger.
he probly could've been bigger too.
But he did play junior all blacks sooooo..... maybe they dropped him to PL to bulk up and try to work his way back next year? who knows.
who is this Finn bloke? is he good? where's he play? where's he from? i've clearly never heard of him, little help?

Hey prawn, Toshio played for the junior Kiwis, I don't think he had any background in rugby union. Sorry, I cannot help with any info about this Finn bloke who timber mentions!

Brett Finn played for us in reserves this year, mainly off the bench. From memory he is a hooker, but can't really say much about him. He never really seemed to stand out in the reserve games i saw

Does anyone know what is hapenning with Leon BOTT next year? Is he still at the Sharks? Rumours are that the Bulldogs were chasing him?

Tosh never played for the junior all blacks, from memory, that would probably be Misi Taulapapa.

Brett Finn played a few games off the bench in Premier League, but was mainly starting hooker- saw a few games, wasn't that impressive..

I heard about Leon Bott to the Bulldogs, but not 100%.

I rate Travis Robinson very highly. terrible injury, probably one of the worst I've ever seen.

what's the 30 man squad?

Toshio was also selected for the NSW residents this year but turned it down to focus on his FG debut.

Poor guy, never really had a shot when he was constantly being shifted from wing to fullback.

Brett Fin was signed halfway through the year from memory from the Jim beam cup? and had decent wraps on him.

Anychance someone can post the rest of the 30 man squad?

Yay Timani and Leuluai.

So, this Fraser Anderson bloke... who is he? Never heard a word about him and then in the last couple weeks his name's been thrown everywhere around this board. Did we just pick him up or are we only starting to notice him?

bit hard to judge based on one game when he was shifted from wing to fullback though. How many players are outstanding on their first grade debut?

we picked fraser up from the towoomba clydsales and he was a pivitotal part of there season in making the grand final. fraser played centre/2nd row for towoomba and he is a very solid bloke who has quick feet and quite a step. Some people have labbeled him as a cross between sonny bill and mark gasnier so that says a heap about the man hopefuly he cna fullfill and live up to the hype

That's right 5HaRK3y (did I get that name right again?), although Vinnie left the Warriors in acrimonious circumstances and is now with St Helens in the UK Super League where he is killing it by all accounts - I think they are in the final against Hull this weekend.

As for Fraser, he is very highly rated and by all accounts he linked up with Toowoomba Clydesdales after a few years in the Philippines as a Mormon missionary! The Anderson family were all involved with the East Coast Bays Barracudas club on Aucklands north shore -you guys may be interested in this write-up on him from the NZ Herald earlier this year:

Fraser Anderson
(Broncos)
Wing/centre
Born: April 20, 1984, in Auckland.

1.90m and 103kg Anderson also offers pace and therefore a potent attacking weapon out wide. He began his league career at East Coast Bays but it was interrupted while he completed two years of Mormon mission in the Philippines. Many observers rate him as the best of the three Anderson brothers, Vinnie and Louis having already made the Kiwis. Fraser has had two NRL games and faces stiff competition from another New Zealander, Tame Tupou, and a host of others including Leon Bott and Darius Boyd. If he can secure a starting spot at the Broncos, he's a sure thing for the Kiwis.
