this thread should be how to attract a crowd...

1)lower entry cost
2)piss off the new bus fee. last year the bus from heathcote, engo, sutho etc was free. now its another 2 dollars
3)lower cost of food and drinks
4)allow people to bring in their own food (im not sure the current rule on that tho)
5)ban tigers supporters (mind you game day attendance will drop 60%)
6)give out free tickets at shopping centers and such - it works for the dragons. even if people get free entry, they will still spend money on food and drinks

i dont think sharks make much money on food sales, they just rent out the space.

umm last i checked the shuttle bus was free..when i went to the tigers game, got the bus from woolaware station - free..after game, bus to sutho station - free

and besides the entry cost is about the same as any other ground..titans is by far the worst..like $44 for an adult ticket

1)ask the space renters to lower there food prices, they get to see games for free so..
2)lower beer prices...maybe but all drunk people who are heavily intoxicated get tossed out...
3)kids 6-10 get in for $5..kids under 5 get in for free
4)scrap the jumping castle when the game starts..WATCH THE FOOTY KIDS!
5)Kids who receive a free ticket at there school, there parents get a certain % off there ticket

kids should be there to watch the footy..not to jump on a jumping castle..

like a 5 year old is going to be interested in an 80 minute game of footy at that age.. i give them at least 10 mins max attention span

Ban anyone from the ground that dresses like Corey from Big Brother... I'd go to a few more games then.

My Mum used to drag us (5 kids) to the local aussie rules game (pre AFL days), when I was a kid. The most fun I had was getting lost and then having to walk around with the coppers to find her again.... Made me hate the game, having to go week after week - year after fukin year!!!

That said, how many families with 5 kids could afford to go to the footy a couple of times a year, let alone every week.

cheap arses geeeezzzzzzzzz

Spoken like someone who has no idea the cost of a family outing.

everything is way too expensive!
people like me cant afford to go to every game every week, and its only getting more expensive!
what? because i find it almost financially impossible to watch the team i love, im deemed as not supporting the club? what a crock of sh!t. the main issue is getting people to the game, not flogging it off for as much as they can earn. with the amount of money the club earns from sponsorships and other endorsements, they neednt make it so expensive for the average punter to go.
