The Paul Gallen / Kyle Turner issue has ended in the best possibly way with the reports from Souths stating that Kyle should be right for Round 1.
In the past i have always tried to be impartial when i'm on this forum as i am a guest of the administrators & i respect that however i still felt that most Sharkies on here thought i was having a go at Gallen when i was more concerned about the condition of Turner & at the same time frustrated that a player that i had respected in Paul Gallen had put himself in a position where his actions were criticised & judged to be unnecessary.
As a Souths supporter i know there will be times when i disagree with most on here but so be it however i do hope that we can still have our usual banter on the footy just as before.
Once again i think if the Sharks can stay injury free your a top 8 side so i'll pop in here throughout the years & chew the fat with you good people.

Mate you are always welcome on here. You don't come near to the trolls from other clubs that spout their beliefs. Yes I can see why the Gallen tackle upset you and I have to admit I thought he was in a bit of trouble but he'd be the first person the NRL would throw the book at after his Twitter comments.

Not once have you resorted to foul language or other means to get your point across. I'm sure others agree with me.

Well Coogee Boy.... I married a Maroubra Girl, so whatever I say to you had best be nice or I'll get it when she finds out. LOL.

No one here wishes your boy harm I'm sure. Glad he's likely all good for Round 1.

As for what Gal did.... the "hit" was basically the ball carriers fault.... he head butted Gals shoulder plain and simple. As for the rest of the tackle, that happens in 4 of every 6 tackles at the start of any game that means anything to both sides. The only thing that made it look worse was being slowed down to inspect the tackle and then of course you "notice things".

You're entitled to an opinion regardless of who you support mate. If anyone can't cop someone having a difference of opinion and figure out a better way to argue it than bring up your being a Souths fan on a Sharks forum, **** 'em.

Chad, Gallen is the hardest forward in the game & if anyone playing the game these days is a throw back to former days then it's Paul Gallen.
Kyle Turner reminds me talent wise of a young Steve Menzies & has a big future so hopefully he will become a regular first grader.

He's a throw back to the old days alright. He'd be the only player in the game who still uses Brylcreme.

Always welcome Coogee
Two most important things in order is gal is right for round 1 second priority Kyle will also be right round 1, you had me worried with your earlier comments about Kyle being in serious career doubt.... Sidenote only joking turner's health number 1 priority...

I'll reserve my judgement until I hear your thoughts on Sharks vs Manly this year

Your not a Troll coogeeboy and your views are reasonably balanced and modest so you are welcome here if you ask me, it's good fans from other clubs taking some sort of interest in our team and it's fans particularly with the positive approach you offer.

HOWEVER if it is sympathy or empathy you are looking for when it comes to the media wankfest and NRL golden childs that is Souths you are unlikely to find it here or on other teams forums. That is not your fault but it's just how it is.

Having said that the views offered by Sharks fans on the Gallen tackle were spot on although the forearm was definitely grubby

Coogeeboy you have to understand that Sharks fans are alot more thick skinned then your average NRL punter.

In saying that, my apologies to you because I always thought you were a Roosters fan.

When are you gonna do yourself a favour and get yourself a Sharks Net membership?? :cheers

Addy, you have to be true to yourself & although i have a fair bit of interest in the Sharks fortunes in the NRL i have to admit that i follow Newtowns fortunes as much if not more than the Sharks & i consider the Bluebags to be my 2nd club.
However in this 100th Anniversary of the ANZACS landing in Gallipoli then i think this will be a fantastic opportunity for all clubs to take part in honouring those that paid the ultimate sacrifice & although the Sharks were founded in 1967 then the local area itself had been making contributions to the game of rugby league long before that & to me they are a club that is a massive part of the game's culture & historical past.
But i might just buy myself a Cronulla 1967 retro jersey a sign of respect for the club so that'll have to do.

Get yourself a Blue Bags membership and you're halfway there to getting a Sharkies one

coogee - of course you want to see Kyle ok (as do we all), and understandably things get heated when anyone feels theyre hard done by, but the fact you can talk about it reasonably already puts you leagues (no pun intended, ok maybe slightly) ahead of some of the other fans we get on here.

the rest of you - **** u crack me up. nice work!
