Why? He's only played against kids his own age. Chuck him in NSW Cup for starters and play him against men.
For round one I reckon our backline should be: 1. Gordon 2. Feki 3. Brown 4. Leutele 5. Gagan.
Play Holmes and Bird in NSW Cup for starters. If any of the guys ahead of them start slipping, or they play so well in ressies that the coach HAS to select them, then put them in the team.

Problem is we are pairing with Jets, who will have some of their own blokes too. Holmes Bird and Brown(Nu) would do well with some NSWcup game time, but you dont want them to begin to fester either
