Gday guys im new to this forum. Avid sharks fan since the late 80s and i think this site is real good especially considering the farked up sate of sharks.com.

Im living in Canada so this seems to be a good way to see how the team is going. So far looks like a strong but unconvincing start to the season. Like everyone else i really think we have a good pack and even thogh Ross is a ******** it will be good to have him back next week. Not sure what the backline answer is but changes are needed. I know anderson has been good in the back row but if ricky is thinking of playing Douglass at second row with bird and gallen and maybe Ross and Snowden as props we could maybe afford to through Frazer back in the centres for a week or two. Cant be worse than the others and i think him and the pom would do ok. Remeber the days when we had peach , barnett, Rogers, Mckenna and et. Seems so long ago. we need to clean some of these soft backs out and look for some try scoring talent. Imagine the late nighties back line with todays pack.

Lets hope Filiga will be ok seems a waste of money but maybe in time. I remeber when everyone was saying bird was crap a few years ago when he came from newcastle with big raps, look at him go now hope filiga can be worth the money in the next couple of years.

Richie Barnett, there is an old skool name, I used to like him, and he was a lovely bloke, met him a couple of times.

Yeah Richie is a great bloke, runs the seafood stall at Nosh Food Market here in Auckland. Need to dig up that "Where are they now?" thread that we had on here somewhere...

Welcome

What do you mean Spechly. While I have noting against Rangas, what about Mitch "the rain maker" Healey in the number 6.

yeah the team looks pretty sweet. from the players you selected i'm gunna take a stab and say your about 28(?) years old?
am i right?
i only say so because i am also a massive fan of the 90's backline and grew up watching (and loving) the most predictable (and effective) 6th tackle option ever.

the bombs from the rainman healy were awesome! so accurate and so high!

but i will also say, matty johns still had form when he joined us.
i don't even think he was that old.
he got forced out of the knights with the salary cap.
but then he got screwed with a terminal injury (career-wise) ala nathan brown.

the big question is... can anyone remember what (injury) it was?
i'll go the most obvious option and assume a neck/spinal issue, but honestly can't remember clearly.

ps. welcome to the site canada
