Has anyone else got any kids playing Jr footy? Are they allowed the shoulder charge? That was the best part of playing growing up. I remember one of our biggest, most agile players had hair dye in his hair. He put one on one of the biggest hits I've ever seen! The hair dye came flying off his head like you would see in a movie when a boxer gets king hit slow-mow and the sweat bounces off him.

Tatus ... Shoulder charges were banned last year mate. It's tough coaching a bunch of young boys who grew up with using shoulders or getting physical. Even if you get into a great tackle you get penalized these days its just frustrating. However I do think the game itself is still tough rules is the issues.

Shoulder charging was illegal if you were playing any grade under the U18's

Although technically you could sneak by that as long as you attempted to grab them with your arm

I miss a good shoulder charge
