The Cronulla Sharks helped to raise awareness for Lymphoma Cancer by attending the Lymphoma Gala Dinner held on World Lymphoma Awareness Day last week.
The night acknowledged and supported the increasing numbers of Australians facing the challenges of a Lymphoma diagnosis.
Our very own Jonny Mannah attended the Gala Dinner with his family, fellow team mate Grant Millington and the Sharks Education and Welfare Manager, Tony McFadyen.
Jonny is an ambassador for the Lymphoma Australia Organisation with his journey of living with and surviving Hodgkin-Lymphoma being used as an inspirational story for others affected by the terrible disease.

“It was a fantastic night and raised much needed funds and awareness for Lymphoma,” Mannah said.
The funds which were raised on the night will be used to:
• Further develop and distribute world class resources for Lymphoma Cancer
• Raise community awareness about Lymphoma, the signs and symptoms
• Ensure access to specialist multidisciplinary care for Lymphoma patients and their carers
• Lymphoma nurses to support lymphoma patients
• Regular lymphoma webcasts
• Lymphoma research for a cure
To date Lymphoma cancer has been a low priority in Australia, however the Gala dinner was a wonderful way to recognise the needs of the Australian Lymphoma community and to contribute to the change that will make a difference.
