Eldest just finish year 12, was cleaning out spare room, come across this little gem from I guess last year of primary school, can’t say I ever spotted it before, If I had a pool room it would be in it…
I feel as though I have made earth a better place.
That's awesome mate.

Good thing the player photos have been labelled, I would have guessed Heino was you.

The heino & birdy photo was about midday of our raiders semi. So was still speculation about gal, I asked heino are we going to helicopter the big boy down to mess with em, said nah mate he has jarred his back doing xtra after training and wasn’t able to stand. I remember saying out aloud holy **** that’s a massive void.. like a true cheesy action film his reply “ no stress we knew last night he was out and we train and have game plans around it”

The game plan
Flanno: ‘Alright with Gal out someone will have to step up, I’ve put all the forwards names in a hat, whoever I pull out has to do something miraculous’

pulls a name out

Santa brought me Mat Rogers book for Xmas, so started reading yesterday. Never knew 1994 was the first time sharks ever won a full season premiership in lower grades as well, we won two that day, was also prior to 2016 the only grand final I’d attended. I can say I witnessed all three live.
P.s. great read 100 pages in already

How good is mid strength slosh!

that costs something like $10 a ****ing cup! At least there wasn't much of a queue... can't remember if we made some chandies with deathmoths lemonade

probs woulda pissed my pants in the last minute of that game if I was too liquored up though and that would have annoyed the specialist leg wear splasher that was in attendance

No word of a lie but I somehow spent $450 at the footy that day on drinks 😂 It’s safe to say I was ****ing backwards. Was that pissed I ended up joining a queue which I thought was the beer line and ended up walking out on the ground and dancing to ****ing Keith urban.

I asked Chat GPT to write a poem about the 2016 premiership.

Not bad?

The Sharks of Cronulla, they did rise
And claimed the victory in the grandest prize
Their fans, they cheered and sang with glee
For the long-awaited Premiership, finally set free

For years they battled, with grit and might
Through injury, scandal, and crushing plight
But the team never faltered, they kept their faith
And now, the Premiership, they've claimed with grace

The Sharks, they fought with all their heart
And left their opponents, torn apart
The fans, they roared with every try
And celebrated, with tears in their eyes

The 2016 Premiership, a moment of joy
For the Sharks and their fans, a victory to enjoy
And as they hold the trophy high
The Cronulla Sharks will forever shine in the sky

Good idea @Paul C . Mixes in a bit of alternate history though :)

Write a poem about Ricky Leutele making the final tackle in the 2016 NRL Grand Final

When the Sharks and Storm went to battle, In the grand final of 2016, A hero was born on the field that day, A man who refused to quit.

His name was Ricky Leutele, A true-blue Shark if ever there was one, With a heart as big as the outback, And a spirit that couldn't be outdone.

The game was fierce and full of fire, As both teams fought with all their might, But with just a few minutes to go, It seemed the Storm had won the fight.

Then a kick was sent high to the sky, And Ricky caught it with a roar, He took off down the field like a bullet, And left the Storm in awe.

He ran and he ran, with the ball in his hand, Till he was tackled, but not by the foe, For he made the final tackle himself, And sealed the Sharks' victory, don't you know.

So let us raise a cheer for Ricky, The hero of that final game, For he showed us what it means to be true, And helped bring the Sharks to fame.

And in the years that come and go, When we look back on that day, We'll remember the name of Ricky Leutele, And the tackle that helped the Sharks to play.

Write a poem about Ben Barba's try in the 2016 NRL Grand Final

In the Grand Final of '16, a moment for the ages, A try was scored that shook the stadium's pages, Ben Barba, the magician, with a trick up his sleeve, A moment of magic that made the fans believe.

The clock was ticking down, the tension was high, The Sharks were trailing, their hope seemed to die, Then Barba took the ball, and made his move, A step to the left, a feint to the groove.

The Storm defence was tight, but Barba slipped through, With a shimmy and a shake, and a move that was true, He surged towards the line, with the crowd on their feet, A blur of black, white and blue, a sight so sweet.

He dived for the line, with his heart in his mouth, And the ball in his hand, heading south, The crowd held their breath, as Barba made his claim, The try was given, the Sharks were in the game.

It was a moment of beauty, a moment of grace, In a game that was tough, in a hostile place, And though the Sharks fought hard to the end, It was Barba's try that they will always commend.

So let us remember, that Grand Final day, And the try that Barba scored, in his own special way, For in that moment, he became a legend, A hero to the fans, a name to be reckoned.

Write a song about Andrew Fifita in the 2016 NRL Grand Final in the style of Eddie Vedder

(Verse 1) Andrew Fifita was a man on fire, In the Grand Final of 2016, A warrior on the field, a giant of a man, With a will to win, and a heart that could not be tamed.

He ran with the ball like a freight train, Bulldozing through the Storm defence, He left them in his wake, with nothing to say, And showed the Sharks what true grit really meant.

(Chorus) Oh Andrew Fifita, you're a hero to us all, A man of passion, a man of power, In that Grand Final game, you answered the call, And led the Sharks to their finest hour.

(Verse 2) He took the hits, he gave them back, With a ferocity that could not be matched, He fought like a lion, with every breath, And never gave up, even in the face of death.

He crashed over the line, with a force so strong, And scored the try that sealed the game, The Sharks erupted, with joy and song, And Andrew Fifita became a name.

(Chorus) Oh Andrew Fifita, you're a hero to us all, A man of passion, a man of power, In that Grand Final game, you answered the call, And led the Sharks to their finest hour.

(Bridge) Now the fans will never forget, The way you played with all your heart, And though the years may come and go, Your legend will never depart.

(Chorus) Oh Andrew Fifita, you're a hero to us all, A man of passion, a man of power, In that Grand Final game, you answered the call, And led the Sharks to their finest hour.

Write a haiku about Luke Lewis in the 2016 NRL Grand Final

On the field he stood
Heart of steel, spirit of fire
Luke Lewis, hero

Write a limerick about Jack Bird in the 2016 NRL Grand Final

There once was a player named Bird,
Whose skills on the field were absurd,
In the Grand Final of '16,
He showed all he could do and was keen,
And helped his team to be the preferred.

Write a limerick about Chad Townsend in the 2016 NRL Grand Final

There once was a player named Chad,
Whose kicking was truly quite rad,
In the Grand Final of '16,
He kicked like a true kicking machine,
And left his opponents quite sad.
