I think they’re going to be the big underachievers again this year.
Something just doesn’t seem right with them.

Trell, Walker and Cook all play off momentum but their pack is only okay and they lost a lot when their 7 went from ARey to Ilias.

They are missing two quality centres which would have helped them, although Manly would have liked their prop to be there too.

If souths go on a run they will be hard to stop but if they find themselves needing to grind out wins and confidence isn’t high could easily finished just outside the 8 again

I reckon we’ll see Walker/Wighton as the halves by round 8. Ilias isn’t that good.
