They were lucky to beat the Panthers IMO. They did play well that night but they were playing the best they could and only just scraped in. I had money on the Eels so was happy with the result.

I still don't see them as serious contenders.

Yeah on their day they can get close enough to beat the best. Problem is they're way to inconsistent to string enough good games in a row to win the comp I reckon.

It's amazing how much better they look with the go forward of Junior Paulo too. I didn't really give that enough consideration when I was bagging them last night.

What I've learnt from this is that after 8 beers I think Parra is really hopeless and when slightly hungover I think they have some hope, albeit slim.

I initially thought the same but then had another look.
The defender did stick his leg out to stop the kick but the half brushed it on the way through and took a dive IMO
