Poor old Newcastle, I put money on them for the spoon at the start of the season, at least they scored a few tries today but they are not looking good, perfect for wooden spoon atm. Dogs, Tigers & Titans may also be within a chance.

Titans are an absolute **** show atm.

Yeah I had them down for a decent year this year, challenging for the bottom two spots in the eight, but they’ve been complete dogshit, they’re halves just havent been up to it, Foran cant come quick enough for them to give them a bit of leadership.

Their entire history is a shitshow, kick them out and bring in a Perth team and another NZ team.
Im actually keen to see the PNG bid as the next expansion team.
Could potentially pave the way for other pacific island expansion in the future with Samoa, Tonga and Fiji

They need a 9 desperately. A centre and a 7.

9 is their biggest hole. Verrils makes sense but his injury record would be putting teams off I think. I dont know who else is avaliable, maybe Marshall-King but is he really the upgrade they need? Probably not.

Foran/Sexton in the halves next year might be alright.

Brimson or Campbell at fullback?
I’m sure another team will gladly take the other off their hands…

Whilst I agree with Peyton I also think that he (and others in the game) forget that some obstruction calls went in their favor.
1 specifically involved CT7 when he deliberately ran into the attacking player and immediately threw his hands up (actually before contact) and they got the obstruction call in their favor! (CT7 was miles away from the ball carrier BTW).

I think it would be pretty disappointing if they chose a Pacific Island team over a SA or WA team for next expansion.
It is called the “National” Rugby League after all.
So maybe they should look at the 18th team being from SA or WA.

Not sure yet, Campbells got a big upside but he’s making some rookie errors. He could be anything. Not sure if theres another role in the team for AJ, maybe centre?

I just dont think there's the interest there and think we're flogging a dead horse trying to promote a game in AFL heartlands.

There will never be a team in SA.

Nz don’t need a second team. They can’t even manage the 1 they have now. Perth for or PNG are what I’d go with.

Storm!

There is this perception that there is no interest over here.
I honestly think that that perception is based on someones agenda to having extra teams along the east coast.

There is always interest when teams bring games over.
Yes, people will always refer back to the Western Reds but they played out of the WACA (and oval ground unfit for purpose).

We now have a rectangular stadium (HBF Park) fit for purpose and a lot more expats in the state that will attend games.

Perth definately would work. Good sponsors, would be well local supported imho. Just the spread of 1st grade players a bit thin, - 3 yr plan perhaps.
