Cleary got it
Interesting that Fox sports player ratings gave Cleary an 8.5 and Cam Murray a 9.
I thought a Rabbit might have been pulled out of the hat even in a losing side.
Didn‘t really think Cleary was BOG TBH.
Anyway. Good luck and congratulations to the Pennies and to Cleary Jnr on his good fortune.
Happy for Sorensen and Capes thou.
Looking forward to a Fitz/Price lead Sharkies team in 2022.
Up, up!

Tackled in opposition 20 was 27-5. Souths win if they had an even share.
Yeah, that opening 20 mins was ridiculous. Souths barely had it.
To be fair, Souths barely looked like getting any decent field position with their back 5 making bugger all metres and Cleary's kicking

Annoying thing is that Sharks and Panthers both joined in 1967, and we are a bit behind on trophies.
But we won the Amco Cup
Yeah that was my basis for going for Souths - guess we'll just have to work harder!

I thought the ref let Penrith get away with a lot, particularly carrying the Souths back three backwards when they were clearly held.

"A player in possession is tackled when he is held by one or more opposing players in such a manner that he can make no further progress and cannot part with the ball."

"Where opponents do not make a tackle effective in the quickest possible manner but attempt to push, pull or carry the player in possession, it is permissible for colleagues of the tackled player to lend their weight in order to avoid losing ground. Immediately this happens the referee should call “Held”."

Still Souths should have adapted better, and spread the ball earlier.

I like the use of the word colleagues
