Paul Gallen has been ruled out of the test match against New Zealand with that shoulder injury and is being replaced by Melbournes Dallas Johnson

Johnson? Say goodbye to any attack from the back of the scrum, all this kid can do is tackle, and usually get himself knocked the **** out in the process.

Off the top of my head Maitua would have been a fair replacement.

You'd think with all the tackling Johnson does he'd learn a decent technique that didn't result in him laid out cold.

With Hindmarsh in the team there is no need for another tackling machine.

couldnt agree with you more(on both counts)
i've always like creagh's attitude and he's got the skills.
dougy is going to be sensational.(buz-you can hopefully quote me on this in 3 years time!)

johnson must be a veggie already because he has been knocked into disneyland that many times...i hope a kiwi steam rolls him just to prove our points..

There's always BUZBet Zak ;). I've heard they give ginormous odds to those who wager with a black white and blue heart.

gallen initially was thought to require surgery which would have made him miss the beginning of next season. upon closer inspection/further tests the injury was deemed to be not as serious as though and not only was surgery no longer required but he was believed to be fit to play in the Australian team. after a session with the team gallen 'pulled up sore' and was ruled out by team doctor (hazard i think). from what ive gathered he was moved more as a precaution than because his injury was overly severe and he should be right to start the season next year

I'd much rather Gallen start the 08 season for Cronulla fit as a fiddle than play some 1 off bragging rights game against the sheep shaggers. He'll be in the WC squad for next year provided he plays a handful of games for us.
