CRONULLA has solved half of its centre problems for 2007, beating at least five other clubs to sign rookie New Zealander Fraser Anderson.
Anderson will leave Brisbane at the end of the season after agreeing to terms with the Sharks for the next three years.
"We still require another centre but he's a guy with plenty of potential and I've been talking to our recruitment people and they all say they're not sure how far he can go," Sharks chief executive Greg Pierce said.
Anderson, 22, is a welcome addition to the club given the Sharks have lost centres Nigel Vagana to South Sydney and Beau Scott to St George Illawarra.
There could be further news today with Pierce speaking to coach Stuart Raper last night over whether to offer North Queensland centre Josh Hannay a deal for next season. However, it wasn't all good news at the Sharks after James Stosic joined the Titans.
Stosic is believed to be on about $65,000 a year at the Sharks and will earn double that on the Gold Coast where he has become the club's 22nd top grade signing.
