I grew up in Moranbah in Central QLD.
Some past players of note I went to school and played juniors with:
Clinton Schifcofske (Sth Qld Crushers, Parramatta, Canberra) now plays in ESL for Crusaders. Never actually played with him but was a mate.
Travis Norton (Bulldogs, Cowboys)
Josh Hannay (Cowboys, Sharks) Pretty sure he's back up in Moranbah now playing 5/8 and captain.
Also played against Brett Seymour in schoolboys (he was a year younger) who was from Mackay, he was an awesome tackler back then. Very hard hitter. Lost touch with him when he left the Broncs.
Played against and with Grant Rovelli as well in juniors, who's with the Cowboys now.

Well you've pretty much covered our Northern Rivers area.
But a few more from up my way.
Craig Field and Matt Seers both Cudgen Hornets A-grade.
Former Origin and Grand final player for Newtown Graeme O'Grady finished up as junior president last year for the hornets. His son Mark is also from Cudgen and plays for Wentworthville in the NSW Cup.
Cheyse Blair Bilambil junior (Roosters u 20's)
Ryan James Bilambil junior (Titans u 20's)
Jacob Miller Mullumbimby junior (Roosters u 20's)

Laffranchi played for the Murwillumbah Colts I believe.

Luke O'Dwyer from the Titans played for the Tweed Seagulls (I was in the same team as him when I was young).

Hahahaha funny that this thread should appear tonight... went shopping in Miranda Fair tonight and it never ceases to amaze me the number of NRL players you see walking around shopping there.

It makes me feel so tempted to make up a banner that says something like "YOU WORK FOR THEM BUT YOU LIVE WITH US"

Feel exactly the same thing!! I wish they felt some kind of need to play for Cronulla, it seems to me like they SHOULD play for us if they live in the area... I mean we don't have too much else to make players want to join the club, the area is one of our best factors.

Our very own Adam Cuthbertson (Avalon Bulldogs).

The canteen takings have never been the same since he left. Coincidentally, the Home and Away Caterers also found themselves with a lot more leftovers once Adam left town.

The only former NRL player I knew was former Sharkies lower grades player and Souths first grade player, Jess Caine.

He was in my year at Port Hacking HS before he moved to Endeavour Sports High.

Drag Queen territory.
I played junior footy with Kyle Stanley until U12s when I moved to New Zealand. He scored many a try from my passes and kicks - kinda pisses me off with hindsight. I also once played against Kevin Naiqama (Wes' brother) when I got the call up to u12s as a 10 year old (they were that short I think they just needed a body, and I happened to be walking by at the time) and I knew Wes cause he was going out with the sister of a mate, and he was kinda matey with me given that we're both Fijian.

In Whangarei I wound down playing to focus more on basketball (Also on Mum's orders), but I did once get involved a fight with Adam Blair's youngest brother that earned me a black eye.

My family grew up in Engadine and my brother went through school with Trent Grubb - our best friend lived across the road from him. Yeah I know he isnt well known yet but I reckon he is an up and comer.

Robert Stone, the Dragons player and coach, taught me and my older brother sport at primary school.
