Football (Soccer) In The Shire. Who else is keen?

Hi peeps,

Really looking to get involved with the local soccer league in the Shire. I played about five years ago for the Kellyville Colts and would really like to get involved again.

At the moment I am tossing up between the Cronulla Seagulls and the Cronulla Stingrays. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I'm leaning towards the Seagulls because they are just around the corner from me but want to make sure the right decision is made.

Also, I thought it'd be cool if we had enough soccer fans on this forum to maybe get something together similar to what we did with the CSBC basketball team that we put together (currently 11-1, by the way!) for the upcoming season.

Why shouldn't he play for Gymea? Just curious, I've played for a few teams - Bangor, Grays Point & yeah now Gymea - and Gymea hasn't seemed too bad at all.

In my time... at local club level, I have played for Caringbah RSL, Caringbah Rangers, Lilli Pilli, Cronulla RSL & Grays Point.

This year I'll be coaching my daughter's rooball side.

Planning on having a long overdue knee reco done this year but if you need a coach or manager let me know.

I asked someone I work with the same question and she said the same thing, and she plays for Gymea.

Gymea is such a bloody rip off and they shifted my team off to play and train at kareela the whole of last year. It was like we weren't part of a club.

My brother originally played for Miranda Magpies and then switched to Gymea and found they were a better club to play for.

My brother originally played for Miranda Magpies and then switched to Gymea and found they were a better club to play for.

There isn't that much wrong with it but the number of teams is ridiculous. They shifted us off to play at kareela like we weren't even a part of the club and the rego fees are bull****.

I have now switched to north sutherland rockets and we are having way more fun actually having home games and being part of a club. Played 2 straight games today I feel crippled.
