Its a lot more than $1 markup.

I voted Yes..

Without sounding like a tight ass, but I paid $5 for the smallest bottle of sprite the other night at the game.
Imagine if I had kids etc to pay for.

You can't over charge for things like that when other shops and places sell them for hardly anything.

Engadine, gods country.
i cant remember the last time i actually ate at a game, unless i was in a corporate box.

beer prices are pretty good. $25, 4 beers. not bad at all. i not a huge fan of VB, but i still drink it. anyone that lines up for 45 minutes for food is dead set kidding and should have a look at themselves instead of blaming others.

What's stopping you from taking your own food and non-alcoholic drinks in?

Your not allowed to take anything in anymore, they take it from you when they bag search.

Nothing much you can do though.
The food is crap at the footy anyway.

Eat in the leagues before hand ;)
Spend money in the club

Don't forget we own the ground so take profits from sales within the ground. I always grab a meal in the bistro or the chinese restaurant before going in to the ground. Better quality food and the prices are quite reasonable.

I think you will find that the catering is contracted out so sales don't equal profit.

Either way, the contractors would be paying a fee to the club based on forecast revenue from sales of food. Money from food sales still gets back to the club.

It must depend which dude you get.

I took my little niece and nephew on Sunday and they brought with them lunch boxes featuring le snaks, cup cakes, sandwiches, fruit and juice boxes.
I opened the case for security, he peered right in, looked hungry, and waved us through without comment.

I've always taken food along for twenty years. The only thing I have been forced to return to my car with is my camera.... and I did think that was a bit silly.

I saw a guy getting breath tested outside the ground before the eels game, thought that was pretty funny!
