Thats spot on, but it took a few years for Gal to hit his straps too. I did hear 1 ex player (think it was Jason Stevens?) saying Gal used to get the dumbells out on the team bus on the way to and from games. He was dedicated

100% mate. I would hate Peachy to "hit his straps" at another club.

alot of the people who are calling for Peachey to make a debut asap have some illusion that he is going to burst onto the scene, replicating the form he has at present in NSW cup. Could happen, but history shows, players come in and take their time in getting adjusted. Its only rare players explode, and most the time, they are the ones who start to fizzle out in the next few years after.

Boyd Cordner was called for how many years as the future back row star in the NRL. signed good contracts when he was 16-17. He goes well at the Roosters, very well in fact. But the fan boys always expect more because they carved up in the lower grades.

Peachey will be a good back rower no doubt about it, but the best 2nd rower in NSW cup isnt usually a star 2nd rower in 1sts

This is what I said a couple of weeks ago.

Peach isn't going to dominate firsts like he does in NSW Cup. I'd be happy if Peachey turns out to be a solid bench backrower for his debut year.

Not even Gal dominated when he first came into the NRL.

Peachy will be solid and has a big future. Would like to see him get a taste of NRL and re-sign with us.

He will play NRL for a long time, I just hope it is with us.

Flanno is way too conservative. We have raiders/ Souths/ Melbourne from memory, and the team that ayed Friday night, and the way they played, won't beat any if them. We have some bug weaknesses and flanno isn't trying to fix them.

the one i saw was a sharks player, talking about when he was coming in to grade. So it was obviously a common occurance
Yeah I saw that a while back too BWB. Someone saying it was Gal's work ethic that even kept him in the team.

Just like frizzel is starting to do at his new club the dragons.

Frizzell is not doing much at the dragons tbh. Average a game 75 metres, 10 HU, 24 tackles, 3 missed tackles.

Those numbers are around average for a backrower. The good backrowers are pulling more metres, HU and TK's.

His runs are good though when you watch the games but not to the point of it being a disaster that we let him go

Flanno, what are you doing putting a limited attacking player in Heihgnington in at lock and have a Rolls Royce like Lewis playing down one edge. He should definitely be the roving lock, not only when Gallen is out but also when he is in. He offers more in attack with his ball work, speed and step and would be a better foil for Carney than what Gallen offers. We have to start having an attacking mind set in the team selections, not defensive.

Lewis is the better player but Heino imo is more suited to the middle third for the squad we put out on the field, he doesn't have Luke's speed or footwork to be on the edge, Luke can play on the edge & equally good in the middle.

if we had Heighno on the edge more than Lewis, we'd be struggling out there.

I'm happy Lewis being on the edge. Similar to what Glen Stewart has been doing at the Eagles.
