Other than the prescription one he hardly caused to much of a stir though. Whilst I wouldn't be falling over ourselves to give him a contract, if he tears it up for newtown I definitely would.

Sacked from 7 different clubs for a range of offences, plenty involving alcohol. The lowlight was when he stole a perscription pad from the Penrith club doctor. He's had way too many chances, he just won't learn. Don't want this grub associated with our club.

Yeah still falls into the "if he's good enough" category for me. Much worse offenders running around than him.

The fact that he had 7 previous chances and ****ed every single one of them up is pretty telling in my book. Stealing the perscription pad is a serious offence in anyone's world, I wouldn't just be brushing that off. I'm over us signing these loose cannons and watching it blow up in our faces. We're in a position now that we don't have to take this risk, I'd rather we didn't. Just my opinion on the matter.

Well if he ****s up a possible 8th chance with us thats on him. Can't see too much blow back from our point of view - he'd be on minimum wage & maximum conditions and given his past "Taumata sacked from Sharks" is hardly a headline.

Pinching a prescription pad really doesn't rate with me.

If the **** can play put Ivan Milat in the halves for all I care

Just on this: Toddy got banned from Goulburn. Ivan can't get out if he tried!

May I ask why not?

hahaha dunno I probably couldn't say I wouldn't have done something like that. There are ****s running around who have done **** I wouldn't though. Its just a stupid thing to do for a bloke in his position, not something really fueled with criminal or violent intent.

wow that must be some type of record 7 clubs.
quick wiki search -
Broncos, Roosters, Bulldogs, Storm, West Tigers, Cowboys, Penrith, + Tumut "Taumata was removed as Captain Coach of Tumut after round 10 of the group 9 season for disciplinary reasons.
Taumata had broken the clubs '3 strike policy' and was told his services were no longer required"

He was on for all of 10 mins and in two plays did more than 90 percent of others in that trial on Sund. I'm open minded on this one, could be a reasonable back up.

his style reminds me a little bit of ben roberts (when he had that good year)
gonna have to be massive injuries to see him put that sharks jersey on again though!

That's the received wisdom, but I don't think its true anymore. At some point you stop looking at potential and you look at output. And "good NSW Cup player" is about his level now - and has been for a number of seasons.

I'd rather give, say, Cleeland a shot over him.

In your head, rent free
For Taumata to get a look in:

Maloney
Chad
Cleeland
Bird
Barba
Nu Brown
Wade

6 out of 7 of those guys need to be injured for the same game.

Get a grip

Probably the best halves depth we've had in at least a decade. Maybe more like 15 years.

stealing a prescription pad is not fueled by criminal intent?

Why not prescribe a bunch of people some hillbilly heroin so they can buy and carry it legally and not have to buy it on the streets?

They arent stealing prescription pads to get people anti-biotics. There is some seriously messed up prescription drugs that junkies love to get their hands on. And someone stealing a prescription pad would do so with no other intention than to sell prescriptions to people for this reason
