excuse me: how did Fafita not give away two dumb penalties when we were holding the momentum and hence gifting the Raiders a free trip out of trouble?

We made the finals so pull your heads in...

Baby steps... Nearly redundant to make the finals is a great start for us. Chin up boys we are going in the right direction.

Been very observant of defence this year.

No urgency whatsoever and they just seem to wait and watch the opposing team run at them.
Now is it Flanagan's role to address this?

Sure he has been great in recruiting Carney, Lewis, Gordon, Gibbs, Fifita and Graham BUT for some reason his coaching of the game leaves me questioning his ability. Several players have been playing below poor, yet he chooses them. Why not go with fresh young legs from our 20s?

I personally think hes been good in collecting a good forward pack but I feel he hasn't addressed our backs well enough. It is difficult to change a team that has been winning and the first half of the year but once you see form drop you have to fix it. I'm not a rugby league expert but I have been hearing alot of people both supporters and non supporters of our great club raise questions about Flanno.

I think Flanno has done a great job with recruitment for next year but some of his team selection decisions have been howlers. (Playing Gards when injured and ending his season last year, playing Wade when he was still recovering from his sternum injury and substituting Gordon for Wright as fullback for the semi when Wright has been safe all year.....

agree. hopefully with depth in the backs it won't be such an issue next year. i say depth, i mean, some good first grade players and all those chumps who failed us today

Ike is ****, **** me, it was like the sun was in his eyes to start with but it was behind him, I'm a big fan of Flanno but the decision to throw him into the most important position on the field was ridiculous

In a way I'm glad thats over.......

I can now get my blood pressure back to normal.

For the last 6/7 weeks we have been playing like that, I don't know what else to say.

I hope next year we can play for 26 weeks and if Smithy is still here PLEASE make him captain.

I don’t disagree I just don’t agree it was so costly
I think he at least tried and he was the most disappointed.
I do recall Gal dropping the ball right after the kick off... gal made more errors that changed momentum then Fafita

How does no sound. Is it bad to want success? And be bitterly disappointed in watching your team put in that sort of effort? Baby steps don't last for how many years we been in the comp?

i think in the scheme Fafita's momentum draining penalties outweighed Gal's one momentum changing error and ability to milk penalties/influence decisions. one of his winges no doubt led to the penalty for taking out Graham as he was kicking.

Don't be hating on anyone but ike and toops, after toops made that terrible decision to throw that offload he offered nothing, bukuya came on and played well, as did the other boys, Boy i hope smith is here next year i guess we will find out at the end of this week, but god damn he is an amazing player, i think gibbs should of played more minutes! we were right in the game if not ontop untill gall tried to hard for that quick play the ball and just dropped it.

i know we say this every year but i seriously am excited for next year, if carney plays with any sort of form ontop of luke lewis and micky g we have an amazing team *wade is just going to get better! and the same old faces will do there job* ike needs to be put down, i wasn't so angry when he tried to stop it with his foot, more so with the play he was carried out of touch, either way we put on a good performance compared to the other games of the finals, offto the backyard to drink to a overachieving year!

Just such a waste. Wide open comp, wide open game today. Jeremy Smith, Gibbs, Bukuya and Leutele went well I thought, but a lot who really blew it. Can't let Smith go for any price

fair enough lets just agree that both players made costly errors.

top post fancyman everyone just chill have some tinnies or toke whateva floats ya boat..

we made semis not so bad of a result have again recruited well.. next year we will go hard again..

carney prolly shouldnt have played he was rarely sighted and you could tell something was up a fully fit towsend would have been a better option..

thing that gets me is if we were ganna shuffle the team why bring in gordon and not gardner.. the risk is my opion was equal.. flanno rolled dice with wrong player but it was an extremely hard call to make and you could see it stinging him in the coaches box.. shoulda gone with gardz but im not the coach either are any of us flanno is.

I thought we played better after Carney was off the field, for the first time I thought maybe he is better chiming in as fullback
