Not sure where to put this but I am sure the mods can move it where it needs to go.

I think its really fascinating how bad our first halves have been compared to our second halves, see below:

Round 6 v Sea Eagles:
1st: Sharks 0-20 | 2nd: Sharks 4-4

Round 5 v Warriors:
1st: Sharks 16-0 | 2nd: Sharks 21-6

Round 4 v Knights:
1st: Sharks 0-26 | 2nd: Sharks 0-4

Round 3 v Dragons:
1st: Sharks 6-14 | 2nd Sharks 6-0

Round 2 v Bulldogs:
1st: Sharks 0-24 | 2nd: Sharks: 4-18

Round 1 v Titans:
1st: Sharks 6-10 | 2nd: Sharks 6-8

Full stats:
First Halves: Scored total of 28 points and let in 94 points (difference of -66)
Second Halves: Scored total of 41 points and let in 40 points (difference of +1)

To me, this is a crazy stat.... We are letting in more then twice the amount of points whilst scoring half the amount of points in the first half then the second.......

Also take out the warriors game and we only scored 2 tries in the first half of the other 5 games......

We were unlucky to lose against the Titans. We beat the warriors & the rest had it in the bag by half time, besides the dragons... but they were undefeated at the time and probably thought they would run away with it.

More disturbing is the fact we have all but been shut out in all our away games. Bulldogs and manly games we scored in the last minute to get on the board.

Surely it cant just be that though. Watching our games we have been a different side in the second half defending better looking a bit more dangerous in attack. Granted naturally we get a swing of possession but its a huge difference when you look at the points we have leaked in our first halves.

just out of curiosity. Do any of youse more statitically minded and technologicalaly savvy punters have the figures for penalty comparisons between first half and second half? Please give me a moment to adjust my tin foil hat before posting them.(and yes I know we lost the games cause the teams playing *****. )

I was thinking that myself, could it mean the old square up penalty counts mean we have the footy a bit more in the second half once the games already over.. (no idea what our penalty counts have been)

All this stat says is that teams only need 1 half of football to beat us.

We really could have won our home games against the Dragons and Titans. We were in both of those games.

As for the away games, we didn't even go close.
