I did enjoy last night, and it was good to see a few of SF guys out and about.

I do think the drums were quite good, even when they were put in a sheltered area. At the next home game, they'll be in the shark tank area and/or floating around the CSSC too.

I wasnt at the game, but could hear the drums on the tv. Its a bit too soccer for me. If Lyall wants the soccer influence, i think its time to get to the community forum going again. We dont need that mob feel to the crowd. The CSSC have a bit of music and chants that are cool and can be heard during the games. Thats enough for me. We dont need some club initiated chants and marching band stuff. Its not us.

Its good we are trying things to engage the crowd but really, some of it is coming off a bit crap

Well we arent a soccer crowd are we

From my experience, there are so many paths to the Sharks and so many different folk with different levels of engagement and expectation. I find it hard to be so sweeping and generalising as to what we are.

For what was an absolutely atrocious night, the atmosphere was great. I think the bad weather weeds out most of the "fair-weather" supporters (pun intended!) who tend to just sit on their hands unless we are winning by thirty.

What you are left with are the guys and gals who will support the team through thick and thin. For what was reported as about three thousand odd, we made plenty of noise in the second half when the teams defence was superb. Every big hit was cheered loudly and every South mistake was jeered with the same vigour.

I thought the drummers at the southern end of the ground were a great idea, they really added to the atmosphere and, given better conditions, they could really get the crowd going.

Lyall Gorman walked around the Club after the game and personally greeted every supporter there, his suit was soaking wet but he was grinning from ear to ear. Gotta love the bloke.

You really love giving it to supporters for not showing up don't you. I agree to an extent. Bit of drizzle I believe most people should be able to withstand.

However my Mrs who was 9 months pregnant (had the baby this morning) and myself left to go to the club just before half time to watch the rest to you must be considered fair weathered?

I can't blame anyone for not wanting their families to be in that

Congrats A.S.

I dont think anyone can be shamed for not attending that game. Thats not to say those who stood out in that **** dont deserve praise.

Congrats S1!

Yeah I don't think anyone can be criticised for not wanting to be in that weather. Huge respect to those that braved it though.
