Just wondering if there is any mad fisherman out there like myself and if a discussion thread would be worth ago.
I dont know if its been done or even appropriate, but hey, they have one for basketball and cricket and other sports, so why not?

Weather coming good now and on the water the place to be.Up this way its after chrissy when all the real fun begins for me. The spanish mackeral arrive and just about anyone with a tinny can get into em.POOR MANS MARLIN, they call them as you can get the same rush without the expense

I usually spend 2 weeks in october just south of port macquarie chasing whiting and flathead on the sandflats. Caught my biggest blackfish last year over a kilo. Went the next day same spot pulled another one the same size. Good times.

I used to take my caravan to Broken Head every Boxing Day for 4 weeks and fish anywhere from Lennox to the Cape. Mostly surf & rocks though, but occasionally in a tinny.

Made the Northern Star one year after we capsized about 200 metres out from Broken Head and had to swim to shore.

But yeah I love fishing.
