ET is too busy fishing.
i vote for daniel anderson. apparently he wants to come back from england.
he took the warriors to the grand final, clearly a miracle worker.

like Anderson. He ignited the Warriors when they had no passion.... but he needs a board to support him and that is a tough one....My preferences would be

1) Anderson
2) Lang
3) Stuart
4) Lam
5) Homer Simpson
6) Stuart Raper

Daniel Anderson is a mastercoach, ET is the greatest Shark of all and the heart and soul of this club...could it be the makings of a decent coaching combination?

I think you could be right Megashark. But at this point anything seems better than what we have. Does anyone know if ET is actually interested in coming back to the club. I am a HUGE ET fan and he is the lone reason I started supporting the sharks way back going against all my friends and family since I live in North Queensland. Anyway I think getting him back to the club even if its not as head coach is a great idea. I heard he was defensive coach a season or two back. Is he still involved there ? Sorry if this is common knowledge its just that we don't get alot of sharks news up here.

those who want et as coach have no idea, why would et make a good coach, he has never coached in his life, maybe he would make a PR man.
just because he is a good shire boy and has passion for the shire doesnt mean he is a coach, you have to have a coach that the players a scared of. not one that is luved. and et has to be payed by the club to make any apperances at any games, thats how great he is.

How about a coach that people love, and the players are scared of failing for ?

A coach the players are scared of?

No offence but that's a stupid thing to say. The players need to respect their coach not fear him.

As for the coach - I'm happy to give Lam a go however I wouldn't be dissapointed if they gave Ricky the job... I mean why not?

I dont give a sh1t who coaches us, as long as they have the balls to do the job right, willing to make changes at the right time and not give a sh1t what the players think about it.

Well said fancyboy, just because someone is a great player, does not make them a good coach. How good was Brad Fittler or Laurie Daley? They are not coaches, are they?

I think a good coach needs to have a good blend of everything, he needs to be approachable, but forceful, feared (to an extent) and respected, have experience players respect, and have the ability to make tough decisions and live by his decisions good or bad. Chris Anderson did all this, we need someone the same or simliar mould.

Daniel Anderson I think you will find will be at the Roosters.

Lam should be considered, Bellamy and Taylor have both done well from Lam's position.

Stuart would make the big calls and decisions and stick by them but, I honestly question his results over what foundation was before him with Gus and Murray. This one I am on the fence for.

Lang, there are positives and negatives there. He was there for so long and we made finals and did well, but he just couldn't get us that step further.

Sorry GW - the big difference here is that Bellamy served under Bennett for a considerable time and Taylor under Smith. Now before you mention Smith he has at least tasted some level of success

overall, i agree with your call here but i think your examples are a little off, because laurie daly has been assisting either nathan brown and/or the origin team for about 5 years, and freddy has been helping out prems this year and is rumoured to be a suggestion to take over from ricky.
otherwise, good post.

ps. bringing back lang would be a huge mistake. everyones talking about new blood in management and no more "jobs for the boys", bringing langy back would do nothing to bring about the changes we need.

sorry don't agree with Et being coach, great players don't always make great coaches, no matter how much passion they have. Look at Wally Lewis for example. ET was the greatest shark i've seen, a pure freak on the field. he would be better served in admin for us with his business mind. he has no coaching experience. We need a big name with some balls to make big calls and i think Sticky is our man for that at the moment, i'm a massive fan of D. Anderson too and said at the begiining of the season that we should get him here. Ricky's not liked by many and that's the whole idea. If the board doesn't make a big call now they may as well all resign too, cause no matter what there time is almost up too
