Yet another player who has successfully made the switch from backs to forwards.
A former Country representative player, Archer looked to be headed for the stars when he was partnering Steve Rogers in the centres for the Sharks. That was not to be so last year he moved into the forwards with the blessing of coach Johnny Raper.
His size and determination made him a natural for the position and his speed was also an asset.
He is still learning the forward position but is freely tipped to be a player to be reckoned with in the coming seasons. The positional change has made him all the more valuable.
