Well it looks like United are chasing a centre back to add to the collection LOL with Alderweireld the likely target of you believe the papers. They’ve still got Bailly and Lindelof (who had a good World Cup). Smalling and Jones are still hanging around but who knows for how long. It’ll be interesting to see who he goes with.
Apart from that, I don’t know what else they need to be honest. I mean they’ve brought in Fred. I don’t know much about Fred, but I’ve heard he’s decent so who knows. Really hoping they keep Pogba around and him and Jose figure themselves out. Maybe a midfield trio of Pogba, Fred and Matic?
I think Valencia and Young were great as the wing backs last year, did better then expected, but both are getting on a bit. Maybe strengthen those spots. I’m still hoping Shaw gets himself right and nails down the left back spot, but yeeeeah, I dunno anymore. I heard they were linked with Trippier.......yeah dunno if he’s the answer, but who knows.
The attack looks interesting. Lukaku hopefully will be better and it’s a big battle who gets the other two spots. Obviously Sanchez gets one spot but who gets the other? It’s a bit of a **** fight.
I don’t actually think United’s problem was the quality of players last year, maybe the style of play under Jose? Also they still finished 2nd, behind one of the best City sides ever assembled, so did they even underachieve? I don’t know.
