lost your 2 strikers who dont move and actually looked like a proper team this morning

jesse lindegard is turning into a pretty good player

Always wanted martial centrally glad to see he had a good game.

Also Pogba on the left in a midfield 3 and he gets two assits. Exactly where Juve played him. He's not as effective in a 4231 formation imo

the "assist" he got for lindegard is why the stat can be misleading

he passed it to him on half way, and jesse dribbles down and scores

martial is your biggest goaln threat as a striker, amazes me how mourinho hasnt played him there

Pogba still had a great game regardless. More license to roam and be a creative force with Matic and Herrera behind.

Only knock I have on Tony playing up front is that he doesn't make enough runs in behind and always wants the ball at his feet. Still, thats an improvement on Lukaku and hoof ball though

Anyone see the thriller between Arsenal & Chelsea this morning SBS? What a game where neither side deserved to lose (fortunately a 2-2 draw.) End to end stuff all game. Unfortunately once again Gunners got harshly done by another penalty just after the opening goal! The PL referees are getting worse & worse by the game! It was a thrilling game though, great game to watch.

Just heard the news that Cyrille Regis has passed away at the age of 59.

Many of you on here will be too young to know who he was but it was him and Laurie Cunningham that saw me choose to follow West Brom in the mid 70s.

The two of them were dynamic up front for the Baggies and they made sure we were up there a fair bit in the pre EPL days.

59 is just way too young.

Rest in Peace Cyrille.

Chadley, are you going to be posting in the other thread next season?

I hope not HB. Haven't given up on avoiding relegation just yet but the odds are not exactly in our favour.

Much needed win last week against Brighton and have to win tonight against Everton.
I'll let you know in about four weeks.

Can someone check on Sharkyboy18 to see if he is alright after Arsenal's woeful defeat to Swansea this morning?

Definitely not looking good mate. You'd want a couple of wins in your next few games I reckon.

I am fine thanks Chad haha. I am just as disappointed with our performance in the big derby yesterday but I'll get over it. "If" we ever replace Wenger I'll be happy & start a new Gunners era. The performance against Spurs & Swansea were ridiculous I'll admit. ;)

I've just about given up now HB after this morning's 3-0 shellacking. 7 points from safety with 11 games to go. The hill is steeper and steeper.
Only thing in our favour is the next four games are Huddersfield, Watford, Leicester and Bournemouth. Need at least 9 points from those to even get back in the pack.
The way we are playing it is a very tall order. Injuries, poor team selection, and sometimes outrageously bad luck are stopping us from scoring goals.

We are still in the FA Cup though and if we can beat Southampton at home this Saturday, we'll go into the quarter finals. There are still some 2nd and 3rd tier teams to draw in that round so we could go further if we win on Saturday.

But I am pretty much resigned to us playing in the Championship next season. It's pretty much a reality.
