Whose the WBA fan in here again, about to lash £12mill on Leicester winger/LB Jeff Schlupp, guess your Chinese takeover isn't working out for you in the short term, Shlupp is a tramp, worth £1-2 mill on his best day.

That would be me mate.

I don't know much about Schlupp but we have made a few bids for him now and having played with Leicester who were....umm....champions...my guess is that he wouldn't be too bad for us.

The Chinese takeover is not expected to make us a powerhouse club it is just to ensure some stability and make us a top ten team. We are not going to make £50m, £60m bids or more for players, we're not going to be spending money like your top line clubs.

It has been a real disappointing transfer window for us though, Pulis has said we need another 5 top players on board to be competitive in this league. Well, he's only got a bit over a week to get the job done.

We've had a good start one game in against Palace and I reckon we can get a point against Everton on Saturday.

Well happy to be rid of him, he does have blinding speed on the crossover but is a zero when it comes to ball control, unco tackler as well. Doubt he makes your top 11 which makes spending £12mill kinda crazy.

Can't that says much for the rest of your squad.

You're right mate, we don't have a strong squad. And because of this Pulis sets up nearly every game for us not to lose. It's very boring football.
He has stated we need five top 11 players before the transfer window shuts for us to be competitive in this league. With only around 10 days to go, that's a tall order.

The takeover has seen us now with the money to buy players and pay transfer fees but we're still not an attractive option for good players. Added to that Pulis seems to prefer English players "who work 'ard".

It's going to be a long season and while Schlupp may struggle to start with clubs like Man U, City and Chelsea, he'd waltz into our squad and make it better.

We should have at least had a point. Didn't defend a set piece well at all.
But still too negative from Pulis.

As soon as koeman changed the formation i thought we were pretty comfortable, young fella mason holgate was superb for us. Still annoyed barkley missed that point blank header to put the game beyond doubt though.

From what I heard we had the better of play until Lukaku came on. Couple that with us being 1-0 up and Pulis setting our midfield back too far just invited Everton back into the game. Why we didn't push on for a second I will never know. Yes heard Holgate was very good.

I'm guessing you always thought you could take the points at any stage of the game?

Even Blackburn have gone further than them

Yep Bundled out by a third tier side. And the team we put out had many of our first team players in. Boy are we in for a long season. We may have won our first game but it may be our only one.

Bit of good transfer news around for us at Albion. Chadli from Spurs and Camacho from La Liga set to join us for record fees.

Amazing that there may be a Chadley at Albion! :)

Good signing for you. Is a goal scoring winger and will be a crowd favourite. Camacho is supposedly one of the better dm's around aswell.

I think Ibra hits a late winner. Then celebrates right in front Pep. This match is just made for that kind of moment.
