He’s gone. Officially sacked 20 minutes ago. As expected Ruud will be caretaker. I will need to be on a watch list if Southgate is given the job.

Ornstein’s saying Amorim from Sporting Lisbon could be announced within the week. If it does end up being him it’ll be interesting to see how United lineup in a 3-4-3.

If I have to guess I’d say your going to have Evans (eventually Yoro), Martinez and De Ligt at the back. Dalot and Mazroui as the wing backs (until either Shaw/Malacia comes back or they buy another LWB). Midfield will be interesting, Amorim absolutely loves Fernandes so he’ll be there, then it should be either Mainoo or Ugarte next to him, then probably the front three they’ve been using. Rasmus probably up front because Amorim doesn’t use a false 9 and two of Rashford, Garnacho and Diallo on the wings.

It would be interesting to see what happens with Onana.

PLEEEEEASE don't stop bringing the lols United, the EPL (aka the City Cup) needs it

That West Ham penalty was disgusting though, bloke trips over himself and the ball = penalty and a free goal and final nail for ETH

In-fact the VAR has butchered a number of penalty and non-penalty calls the last few rounds, it's become the bunker but with round ball

Ruud hasn’t done anything worthy of being a Utd manager. Surely a club of that stature can attract better.

Someone like Ruben Amorim would be a smart move
Hate to see Utd making smart moves….

This guy looks like the real deal. I know EPL is a step up from the Portuguese league but his achievements so far have been super impressive, and he has a clear style and identity. He would be a fantastic signing for Utd.

The fact Liverpool were after him suggests it’s a good move, as we are pretty smart operators

He was City’s first choice to replace Pep at the end of the year. Approaching this with cautious optimism though as we were saying the same things about Ten Hag when he was hired.

I was never sold on Ten Hag, but it’s different if you are a supporter of the club I guess, you get behind them.

Amorim is a much more exciting get in my opinion than Ten Hag was

Ten Hag had Ajax playing a way thats similar to what Sporting are doing now. High press, possession based football, thats why I was excited for Ten Hag and I wanted to hold onto him as long as I did. I thought with the proper structure above him and some of his signings he brought in, he could finally do it. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be.

Not entirely his fault, some of these players have now sacked four managers and seem to down tools when they feel like it. The players the club cant get rid of because the Glazers gave them ridiculous contracts.

A ridiculous injury toll didn’t help him either.

Your redeemed. 😂

lol I basically posted something along the lines of "can't believe a portly greek man from the prison colony is holding you back from all those trophies you used to win, oh wait...."

Was flagged as spam, I thought it was good banter and far more tame than half the wrist cutting Ange Out posts over there

**** em though, I got my hands full as it is, I don't need to also support the round ball version of the Cronulla Sharks SMH

Amorin official. Will take charge of United on November 11th. Probably the best option they could have got. Looking forward to seeing how this goes.

Looks like Ruud wont be staying around as a coach under Amorim. Right call imo as much as I love Ruud, it has to be a fresh start and the players need that security blanket yanked away from them, also the moment a few bad results would go Amorim’s way, the British media would be looking at Ruud as an interim again.

Ruud wont be out of work long, I think he showed enough in his few games in charge that a club at the lower end of the premier league or even in the championship that he’s worth a look as manager.

He's had the mid table experience for a few weeks, needs to go manage a big club now
