Honestly i do.

I dont want to get my hopes up too high yet but i always thought for the 4 weeks starting with Eels and finishing with Broncos that this week would be our hardest. And we won.

Canberra are a good team, but Sharks usually get the better of them and Panthers. Cowboys too actually.

If we can bring this form to Canberra and limit Campese then we can get a streak going.

Broncos without origin stars should be a flogging and if we dont win that one then we have even bigger problems then we think.

After 4 in a row the momentum and confidence is there to play an under performing Roosters side so you never know.

let me take a step back

Rd 12: vs eels = win
rd 13: vs warriors = win
rd 14: vs raiders = will be tough only because raiders are at home
rd 15: vs broncos @ suncorp = should win against origin depleted team
rd 16: vs roosters = should win on current form
rd: 17: vs cowboys = have been playing well, plus they are at home, very tough
rd:18 BYE

those games up until our second bye should see us on arround 14 or 16 points, i dont know if we can continue or form as we come up against manly and storm... we will see when the time comes

if we can keep winning to the bye which i think on current form is highly likely, our confidence will be sky high and will be good chace of winning agaisnt the top teams like melbourne etc

Most teams strugle in Canberra partly cos of the cold. Sharks play in the cold at shark park all the time and seem to go well in Canberra as well.

Cowboys move quick around the ruck but when our defence is on song our team moves up and shuts them down.

We should win both those games when on form.

I am more worried about Roosters. They are just a side that seems to be able to beat us no matter how they are going (like tigers).

Should beat Manly without Stewart if the team is on form.

Will lose to Melbourne and prob to Manly the 2nd time we play them.

i would not give up on us making the 8 yet, if we can string a few more wins together and get a winning streak going we are still a chance

in our games before the bye

i think next weeks games agaisnt canberra in canberra and the game agaisnt the cowboys will be the hardest. but if we win next week we should beat both the broncos without their qld players and the roosters and then the confidence gained from those wins should be enough to beat the cowboys and if we win all those games which i think we can then get 2 points from the bye. by then we should be in the 8 or very close and i know from then on we have a tough run home but i think we will make the 8 and the warriors showed last year once you make the 8 anything is possible, they finished 8th and finished 1 game from the grand final the same us last year

Should match Raiders but are tough in ACT but will have Gals
Should beat Broncos who will have origin stars out
Can match Roosters but they are due for a win
Will do it tough against Cowboys in Townsville
Will get the points for the bye
I tip eight points from out of a possible ten

I rekon we should take it one week at a time, and dont get ahead of ourselves and just concentrate on canberra. Go you sharkies!

But to answer the question of this thread, Yes. I do think this is the start of a winning streak, our young players are giving the enthusiasim and spark we need.

Watchout canberra we are coming for you.

i agree with everything you said

we lost 7 games in row and then won 11 in row in 2002 and we went on to finish 1 game short of the grand final losing in our last game to the warriors, i do not know why but i think we can do it again but i hope we go a little better and win our first comp. anything is possible

3 wins is sort of a streak. I'm very happy with that. With the next two not out of the question either a 5 win streak is looking possible.

Cowboys at Dairy Farmers is a hard task for us even with 5 wins on the trot, and then either way we have a bye and after a bye we lose a bit of momentum and things become unpredictable.

8 points up for grabs, lets be realistically here, trent and gals will be in origin meaning Green gets taste of five eight?, the broncos will be without ... hunt hodges folau lockyer wallace thaiday .... we have 80% winning chance here

Roosters well they need a win somehow, hopefulyl its not against us!, i think we can beat them,

thats 2 wins 4 points ...

then

Cowboys biggest task in Qld, i think we can win shut down thurston...

Bye thats 8 points makes us 18 points!

UP UP CRONULLA! we will make the 8th if it goes like this

think positive,

That'll put us on 18 points. We probably need 26 or more to get in 8th position.

So we need 8 points from the remaining 8 games, or a 50% win / loss ratio.

So yeah I guess it's possible.

Broncos Win 12 points
Roosters Win 14 points
Cowboys Lose 14 points
Bye 16 points
Sea Eagles Win 18 points (at home, could happen with people well rested)
Storm @ Graveyard Loss 18 points
Eels win 20 points
Broncos lose 20 points
Tigers win 22 points
Titans lose 22 points
Sea Eagles lose 22 points
Rabbitohs win 24 points

So I guess it's possible. I think I've been pretty optimistic there. If they go better than my optimism they can scrape in. Once they're in the finals all bets are off but it can be pretty hard being 7 and 8 in this system.
