Disappointed 2

Last week someone wrote how disappointed they were that Gal wore his NSW shirt to an interview.

Yesterday I was disappointed to hear that for some blokes in our side, it took Gal's Origin performance to lift themselves for the game against the dogs. These guys surely watch the tapes and see the stats each week and therefore know how much this guy leads each from the front for us, origin aside.

These guys are paid good dollars to represent the sharks, can you imagine how well we would be doing if they had that attitude every week. It shouldn't take Gals performance to lift you each week. If they have failed to bring that attitude each week, then that is why we are where we are on the table.

Don't get me wrong, I am glad to see a lift in attitude, the real evidence for me will be this weekend and when Gal has the game after off for origin 3.

Very proud of Gal and what he means to this club. Glad he inspired everyone but look at the pack and you see that we should have won more games than we have lost if they brought that same attitude every week.

This disappointed is alot more reasonable then the last one. I agree, but atleast the boys managed to lift lets hope they can keep it up.

Some times it takes some one outside to say the samet thing before its heard. I dont think the team didn't know how lucky they are to have gal. I just think they needed to see him take a team like nsw and overcome the odds and win. They get belief when they see that. Now they need to take that self belief and go on with it

Yeah I think you're being a bit tough on them Danga.

1. Most of the comments are just attempts to compliment Gallen...

2. Players are only human. They can put in what they consider their best in previous weeks, but still be inspired to higher levels by Gallen's performances and the publicity around it. I reckon pretty much anybody would come into the game feeling more fired up by all the positivity around Gallen/signings/development, rather than the feeling of the inevitable over the last month.


But it's a nice feeling reading all these Disappointed threads and not being disappointed at all. :glasses-cool:

I agree that they shouldn't need something to inspire outside of playing for a win for our club, but they are just being honest.
But Gals performance was certainly inspiring.

it could be a case of them seeing Gal do it every week in their team and maybe its taken for granted. Seeing Gal do it on Wednesday night while they're in their lounge rooms might have put it in perspective for some of them.

Cronulla rely on Paul Gallen so much, and he is so consistent, so possibly the players have gotten too comfortable with that.

im pretty sure they said they lifted because of it not that they needed it to lift
