I can tell you what happened there, he was offered x amount of dollars from Dragons and from us and they were on par, then he got injured and the Sharks then said to Caine, that because of his injury they would reduce their offer, whereas the Dragons left their offer on the table regardless of his SERIOUS injury.

What would you do if you were him?

I tell you though I have seen him a few times in the last 2 months or so at Miranda fair and the gym, and he still has a decent limp on him. There are doubts he can fully recover.

Mate it was one of the worst I have seen, and the worst is it was close to home.

i was watching that game when caine got the rubbery leg thing and it was making me cringe for weeks afterwards.
how can steve price get away with attacking the legs of a player( with a horrable outcome) and there is no talk of putting that type of tackle out of the game. any thoughts...............?

I think in the NFL the quarterbacks wear some kind of special knee brace for that very reason...but then again they wear a helmet with a visor as well!

Well they don't have to run much do they just stand and deliver then sit down until time to kick again.

It was just a sad and bad incident, no malice intended, but I feel for the young bloke.

I hope he does come back from it though.

I think we will be better off without him if his mind wasn't into football, he wouldn't of been focused on his game and would of held back a younger, talented junior itching to take his spot.

No I think that is Darren Albert who Super Shark is talking about, after all this is a thread about Albert - just goes to show how the focus of a thread can change over the course of time! :D

Welcome to Emu Plains, please be sure to visit our
price should have been charged with something cause you jus cant do that without mallace - diving at unprotected legs of a skinny guys and ur a fat forward, same thing almost happened to noddy - though i might not have cared as much due to the fact i hate him, and noddy had jus enough time to pull his leg away, though he really swore his head off at the player ( manly i think it was against)

Yeah I remember that, it was disgraceful, and yes it is really dangerous, but sadly I don't think anyone high profile enough has been injured by that yet for the NRL to seriously take notice.

Speaking of dangerous play, can anyone remember when Matthew Ridge would attempt to prevent a try by kicking the ball out of the would-be tryscorers hands as they went to put the ball down?

YES YES YES, that was dangerous.

Or when Vatavai decided to push King into the fence intentionally?

Or when Hopoate tried the finger? LOL

i really hope that caine gets to play his best footy, but i hope it isn't at the dragons. he had so much potential and the injury was sickening.

Dangerous play can happen so easy these days due to the comptetivness and also the speed of the game.
