Cronulla Sutherland Sharks Mascots

First off, if there is another mascot thread floating around I apologize, I couldn't find it.

I created this thread is to get a bit of a collective history from all of our members about the mascots the club has had over the years and as a place to share any memories/experiences that anyone has had, to do with mascots.

I haven't been to a home game this season but during tv broadcasts I've noticed a new mascot getting around and the distinct lack of Mr. Sharkie and MC Hammerhead. Can anyone shed some light on this?

as for the original post. I think the NRL only allow 1 official mascot is that true? The Hogs Breath pig (snowman haha) is their own so not classed as a team mascot as i guess a few teams have the pig at their games too.

Maybe a local Cronulla business should sponsor MC hammerhead in the form of printing up a jersey and him gettin round the crowd at games

Few years back when the NRL brought out their edgy newly designed mascots, they made a point that this will be the only mascot used, but Souths kicked up a stink about their beloved white bunny and refused, and then most teams followed suite.

Still can't explain why we lost MC Hammerhead

mc hammerhead was retired by the nrl. same guy, new look now....

mr. sharkie wanted to get paid to do the job, club showed him the door, thats why he vanised a few years back. as far as im aware, he still does the tigers mascot.

the hogster is funded by hogs breath as part of his sponsorship of the club, as are all the other hogsters at other venues.

bring back the mushroom mascot that used to walk around shark park.

it got more cups of beer thrown at it, then when wendall sailor used to give his red v finger salute to the sharks supporters standing on the hill..
